If Dak gets those stats then yes after that. Romo is coming back that's all there is to it

That shows just how naive you are. I was watching the Cowboys win SB's when you were in diapers. This team is NOT going making a QB change while Dak is having a great year (MVP caliber year) along with the team. We have a championship contender this season that's being led by the best young QB in the league and Jerry isn't about to screw up the chemistry or hot streak we have going to go back to a rusty Romo who hasn't played a regular season game in a year. LOL Dak is going to have to crash and burn or be injured for a change to be made at QB...BOOK IT!

I think this is the best move for THIS YEAR. in the playoffs I would rather Romo lead this team than Dak. Now next season all bets are off, and Romo will have to prove he can outplay Dak again. Best case scenario is Romo gets his ring this year and retires. Now we have a bona fide qb in Dak plus financial relief from Romo's contract. Everybody wins.

This talk about "Romo getting his ring" I think are where the major problems lie. Judging by your avi, you're a Romo fanatic. I've been a fan of Romo as well. What we have to realize is that there is no "fair" in life.. no "supposed to be" .. we suffer when we resist truth and fail to accept what's real. Romo could possibly start again and if he does, I'll root for him although I think Dak should remain the starter. He's not promised any particular result either way.

Or maybe it shows the game has passed you by and you are an old fart who only cares about the end result ignoring what takes place in the meantime and chalks it up to someone being a "winner". Dak has 12 tds he isn't having an mvp year, Zeke is. We'll see who is right at the end grandpa. Book that.

So many want Romo to have a last hurrah they're willing to screw up a great season by the team and a young rookie QB just to give him one last chance at a ring. Unbelievable!

All some have to do is think back to the last time you saw a rusty Romo in a regular season game which was a full year ago. He only had 3 picks including 2 pick-sixes in route to a blowout loss. That's closer to the Romo you will get than the 2014 Romo.

I dont think this means anything but that tony will now practice, and no harm in that.
My thinking is he needs several weeks of full practice before he is even ready to play or be the bkup.

The game hasn't passed me by just check my posting history. You have yet to get a grasp of the game. Anyone with a clue about football would know that a QB missing more than half the season will be rusty. We have a finally tuned machine at QB who has the 4th highest passer rating in the league and is on pace for a 4000 yard season and you want to bench him and go back to one who's coming off a broken back and has missed 20 regular season games since last season. That's how much you about football. LOL

I sure am...especially since I don't think it will screw anything up putting him in the game.

It won't screw anything up putting him in for mop up duty when a game has been decided.

yeah but what we fans think, wont affect anything, it is what the jones boys want that will decide things.
I think they are on the dak train now, and just waiting for the bubble to burst.

Then again they may put romo in say last 2 games even if dak doesnt lose again.
Then they will go with romo for last 2 and playoffs.
They may also keep riding dak, but he has to keep winning and playing great.

you never know what they might do.

That is a lot of unneeded pressure on dak.
however I think dak's goal now is to simply win the rest of the games !

I don't understand the premise of the thread? So there's a chance Romo will be qb2 this Sunday? Certainly there are no plans to play him?

Partially to speculate on his return, sooner than we thought. Also, being activated and what that does for the team, even if as a QB2.

That's if you buy into the slant and voracity of the article. Just posting for discussion's sake.

Yea it is a big risk. Nobody knows what kind of a QB we will be getting back. There is a big chance that he's going to be rusty. There's a big chance he'll get injured again. Then what? I guess we go back to Dak and hope the momentum isn't ruined. I just don't see the rush to put Romo back on the field. We have him in case of an emergency.

Nothing can change the direction of a team like a QB change. The last thing we need is a change in direction, we have a championship caliber team with the QB we have. You don't try and fix what is far from broken. This team isn't going to get better than it already is with Romo it can only get worse.

He would have layers of rust and not having faced a regular season pass rush in a year could get him killed. Can't believe some of the things I'm reading on this board. You would think we're 1-7 not 7-1.

Your membership date is meaningless to me, as it pertains to your comment in my thread. I respect the older members here, but not in the context you've provided. Please add to the discussion.

What do you think of a Dak/Romo tandem heading into the playoffs, Ryno? Pretty awesome, eh?! What do you think of this news, if it is, indeed legit. Think Dak feels the heat with Romo in pads? He's shown he has ice water in his veins, I think he continues to shine, myself. Are you happy that Romo is progressing in his rehab? Seems close. Nice situation to have.

Romo active (possibly) on the 53 this Sunday, caught me off guard and out of the blue. What about you?
2 or 3 QB's active?

Romo understands the qb position right now at a level Dak can't dream of. It comes with the experience. Yes Dak is faster and stronger but the mental aspect of being a qb is important. He can read the defensive formation where the blitz is coming from what protection to switch into all of that before Dak would ever have time to begin. I believe he gives us a better chance this year at a sb simply because of the difference in their levels of understanding. Not to mention no rookie qb in history has ever won a sb, only Marino even made it there. Romo also can hand the ball off 30 times to Zeke as well.

Mental aspect? Why does he throw so many untimely picks in huge games?
