Houston makes the most sense. Elite defense, elite WR, strong running game, and maybe a legit QB away.

AZ should be on the list and IMO would be a great place for Romo. That city loves Cowboys. Strong D, WR, RB and solid OL and coaching.
Osweiler ain't going anywhere, getting rid of him would result in $25 million in dead money. So if the Cowboys can't afford to pay Romo $20 mil to sit on the bench, how can Houston pay both Brock ($19 million this season) and Romo?
Or he will play like an elite QB like he has for the majority of his career.

Garrett basically all but guaranteed that he will be released. He said they "want the best for him whether he is here or whether he is somewhere else." Doesn't exactly translate to "we're going to trade him to the Jets or Cleveland for the best haul". Jerry is also likely so racked with guilt about not winning a Super Bowl for him, coupled with the latest Three Stooges move of trying to win the Super Bowl with a rookie that he'll almost certainly do anything Tony asks.
But that Romo contract ... what a huge mistake. But that Osweiler contract... what a huge mistake
I am not going to argue over what Tony may decide......no one knows
I was just showing how DAL is a viable option
Dirk took less, Tim Duncan took less, Big Papi took less......yeah they had won but some players like to stay home
I mean, I certainly hope Jerry believed it... because by not putting Romo back in when he was healthy, he basically told Romo, Witten and the other older veterans who may never get another crack at it, "Hey now, trust me on this, 50 years of no rookie QBs in the Super Bowl, but we're going to do this. We're special, history don't apply to us." And then they didn't even win one game, lol. I'm sure Witten and Romo were not amused.I am pretty sure Jerry knew that we were not going to win the SB with a rookie QB. Sure he gave lip service to the idea, but we all know that was never going to happen.
I think Jerry knew that we were not going to beat Aaron Rogers, Matt Ryan, and Tom Brady all in a row to win the SB with a rookie QB, not unless you got the 85 Bears defense which we obviously don't.
Pro football is different......... most ex-players say the thing they miss the most is the guys, not the broken bones and surgeriesBut did they take less to watch from the sideline?
I don't think so

He did, for this year anyway. No way, he sits down next year and plays the good solider, if they decide they won't cut him or trade him. He will be saying he is the best QB on the team and should start from the minute OTA begins.. and he would be right. If they decide to keep Romo, they can't expect him to be the good guy he was this year. That is why he will be released. No team is going to offer a good pick because they know he will be released.
Miami would also be a good fit but not sure the details on Tannehill's contract.

I agree about the playoffs, but that is a gigantic IFIf Romo starts 16 games...that team is likely making the playoffs IMO.
As a GM what is that worth to you...isn't that what it's all about?
I think QB hungry teams should be lining up for Romo.
If Romo was their QB when they played NE, I think Houston would have won.
