Let's see on QB's. In no specific order.

Group 1
Brady
P Manning
Brees

I think I can make the argument they are the best in the league right now.

Group 2
Brett Farve
Curt Warner

Skins are on the wall -they are still getting it done -- they belong on the list

Group 3
Tony Romo
Philip Rivers
Ben Roth (sp?)
Carson Palmer
E Manning
McNabb
Sanchez

All arguable depending on your point of view.

So I suspect Tony is somewhere in the top 12 QB's.

And you are back.

Apparently he realized that he doesn't actually have any stocks. Or friends.
So he's back to show us he also has no clue.

If we were being such homers we would claim that Hambrick was a great RB or QC was great.

We claim Emmitt was great for the simple fact he was, when he missed games Dallas suffered and despite that great line no other backs were able to do anything when Emmitt was out of the lineup. Emmitt was an excellent runner, good at coming out of the back field and blocking all 3 aspects that are important to playing RB position. Barry Sanders much better pure runner than Emmitt but Barry was unable to do everything Emmitt did and those things contribute to winning.

As for Irvin he was a great player but was also a disappointment to me when he got into trouble because it had such a negitive affect on the Cowboys, when fans should have been celebrating our SB win over Pitt instead we watched as a key member was being hauled off to jail and the fact the following season he missed a signficant amont of time which hurt the team

Talk about revisionist history. When Emmitt was not producing late in his career in Dallas, a la when the O_line sucked during his last years ( losing Stepnoski in FA was huge) fans were calling for Emmitt to retire. Everyone wanted Hambrick to start because he was averaging 5.0 yards a carry.:laugh2:

Yep I am a fan.

"fanboy" means the same thing as "homer"

I thought it was funny that you are criticizing them when your name means the same thing.

Nothing revisionist. I knew Emmitt was not the same back late in his career as he was in the prime of his career. As for Hambrick your right everyone (most) where hollering for him because they knew Emmitt Smith career was coming to an end

Nope it doesnt. I am a diehard Cowboys fan but I don't support every player like a homer does.

The original post is absurd. Last night's game had nothing to do with Romo. I hope he didn't even watch it. I only watched parts of it. Romo had nothing to do with the loss against the Vikings. What a stupid thing to say.

You know Romo watched the game, he has said before when he is not playing he enjoys watching the game of football.

Who Dat?

Is this the same ROMO who marched into New Orleans and beat down the World Champs? That ROMO?:bang2:

:hammer:

I hope Romo learned he can play with the best--and beat them, like he did against the Saints. I don't hope he learned that, I know he did. Let's put to rest the whole Romo can't win big games garbage.

If he did, it had nothing to do with him. If anything he should be proud that he beat the SB champs and take that as something to build on as a leader--a good leader.

I can't believe you have Sanchez on your list.
Maybe some day, but certainly not yet.

Fanboy is a term originating in the United States, used to describe a male who is highly devoted and biased in opinion towards a single subject or hobby.

Homer is to describe someone who has a close devotion to a sports team. They are called a "homer" because they are part of a "home crowd and biased to their chosen team.

I'm sure he was watching the game thinking it will be the Cowboys in the SB next season. Once we got knocked out none of the games had anything to do with Romo. There are certain truths out there and one is teams who can protect the QB and control the line of scrimmage will win more times than not.

I agree. That much is true, but Romo did all he could to get us to the SB. We didn't get there. It wasn't even close to being his fault.

Not everyone thank you.:D

Guess that is like the backup QB position. Everyone wants that backup to start as soon as the starter doesn't do as well.

That wish sometimes come, and then reality. And then EVERYONE wants that starter back in.

Have to say I'd have Warner over Romo too. He is going to the HOF in my opinion.

You better believe Romo will go to the HOF, too. IMO, with better stats and achievements than Warner.

So you'd rather have Warner starting over Romo right now?

I hate to tell you this, but fanboy means exactly the same as homer. It is viewed as being overly devoted to whatever it is you are professing to the point of myopia or extreme bias.

I will say Romo shared in the failure but given the pressure he was under vs Minn I don't think any other QB would have faired any better.
