OK, Granted, Tony may not be as Good (as you say ) as Manning or Breese right now. But does that make him a bum???
I don't think so.

To win a SB you don't have to have an ELITE QB.
The past has proven that .

I think Tony Romo is one of the top five QB's in the league.
Sure there are better guys at that position ,so what!!!!

He's better than most and is definitely good enough to win us a SB.

rant over:cool:

I can't believe you have Sanchez on your list.
Maybe some day, but certainly not yet.

Sanchez took a team to the Conference finals. For that, he got into the group.

I didn't say he was better or worse than Romo, just that it could be argued with these names.

IMO, you can't really compare QB's due to system and team anyway, so you have to put them into groups.

to be even close to as good as the two QB's we saw last night. I am not saying he will not someday be an elite QB, but Brees and Manning are miles ahead of Tony as far as QB's go. I am hoping he watched last night and telling himself he can be that good, just need to continue to work hard.

And do talk about OL, when the Saints blitzed, take away the one key INT, Manning burned them again and again. So, strong OL or not, Tony needs to make start seeing the game better, stop rushing everything, settle down a bit. If you watched the two last night you know what I mean. Even when hurried or rushed, those two looked calm most of the time. Tony looks like he is running for his life and throws too early or just panics and throws bad passes way to often.

I am NOT knocking Tony. I was pro Romo when we got him, I just think he needs to take it up a notch. That and our level of talent should make us a serious SB contender next year.

I think a username change to SKINSROCKLASTPLACEFOREVER is needed here.

I almost always watch the SB with our Cowboys in mind.
How would our QB do?
Could we protect him?
How about our defesne?
Could we get a rush, defend the run, cover the receivers?

In short, are we good enough to compete in this game? My answer last night was a rsounding YES!

That's fine. You're entitled to have an opinion....and I agree about the sytems. I just think any starting QB in the league could have done as well as Sanchez did this season given his bus-driving role. If you asked me to rank the QBs this season, he would not be "terrible", I'd even give him an "ok" or "fairly good", but he would be in the lower 1/3 overall. I like him going forward though.

Certainly guys like Matt Schuab were far better, and I'd put Matt Ryan, Garrard, Flacco, and others ahead too. That's just me...no big deal.

long way to go ? do you have any idea what your talking about. Both O lines played MUCH better then Dallas' when they played minny. If the oline played even remotely close to how NO or Indys played yesterday Romo to would of picked them apart. Did you not hear the announcers during the game repeatedly say receivers were open ? Romo IMO deserves to be mentioned with the best, plus if that was him who threw that pick, all hell would of broke loose.

Is this OP serious? Most QB's in the league would have had a field day with the protection they were getting. One sack in the game and how many hits were on the QB's? Even if Romo couldn't hang in the pocket long, him rolling out would have destroyed the D. Look at all his games with protection. Hell, look at any QB with good protection.

I don't care if anyone thinks that someone is better than Romo, that's their opinion. Brees has more time in the NFL, so Romo will be right there, learning from his mistakes and has made great strides in improving. I don't care what road you travel to get there, as long as you still get there.

And the whole homer statement was just stupid. Of course people were looking past Emmitt at the end. That's why it was the end and if they were homers, then why were they looking past Emmitt? A homer would have jumped on Emmitts back until the end, regardless.

Wow. Just wow

No real argument from me either.

Question, is Bus-Driving better than Gun-slinging --- if it gets you farther in the playoffs?

My list wasn't meant to be a numerical QB setup, but rather to point out that people keep calling Romo top 5, and I think it is arguable that he is anywhere from 4 down to about 24 (but at least down to 12).

Arguing who is better is like arguing who is the better RB; Smith, Sanders, or Payton. Depending on which stat you use -- any could be "your" pick and not mine, and neither of us be right/wrong.

Have to?

Making up a BS list based on little to nothing is something you do NOT have to do.
