Stop making excuses for Romo he is just good enough to get one playoff win that's it, the sooner we stop kidding ourselves the better.

Looks like all the trolls pretending to be Cowboys fans decided to come out and troll on the same day.

3. Romo would not have gone 32/37 in that game and we know it. When has he done that?

32/37 is an 86% completion rate.

Romo has thrown for 80% or better twice in his career, and he has thrown for 70% or better 13 times in his career.

to be even close to as good as the two QB's we saw last night. I am not saying he will not someday be an elite QB, but Brees and Manning are miles ahead of Tony as far as QB's go. I am hoping he watched last night and telling himself he can be that good, just need to continue to work hard.

And do talk about OL, when the Saints blitzed, take away the one key INT, Manning burned them again and again. So, strong OL or not, Tony needs to make start seeing the game better, stop rushing everything, settle down a bit. If you watched the two last night you know what I mean. Even when hurried or rushed, those two looked calm most of the time. Tony looks like he is running for his life and throws too early or just panics and throws bad passes way to often.

I am NOT knocking Tony. I was pro Romo when we got him, I just think he needs to take it up a notch. That and our level of talent should make us a serious SB contender next year.

How the hell do you do that?

I remember Brees throwing a lot ot Henderson and Colston. Romo only had one good WR to throw to. The number of targets who are able to get separation impact the QB's play, whether you see that or not.

I can't believe the mods let this idiot troll hang around. I'm pretty sure this guy is the old "cowboyrocks" (aka skinsrock) character. Same exact MO. Starts ****/creates controversy and then runs away til he's ready to do it all over again.

I hope the Cowboys don't fall into the trap that the Colts did - putting everything on Romo's shoulder like the Colts put everything on Peyton's shoulders.

The Colts were gashing the Saints for big yards in the run game, but this game was for Peyton Manning, so you knew he wasn't going to let the running game carry the day.

The Saints had the offense to take advantage of the Colts' defense, and Brees just kept taking what the Colts would give him.

Romo doesn't have to do it on his own. He has three very good running backs. Let's not make it all about Romo. Let's make it about the team. If that occurs, then Romo will have a ring just like Brees.

Well said! I couldn't agree more....

Sure Romo can do better. He needs to learn how to get the ball out quicker when we're pressured greatly. Of course the right plays should be called as well as making the right reads, hot reads, yada. And yes I know he has the quickest release in football. It's the reads and plays. There's more but that's enough for right now. He's still a top ten QB for certain and I say top five.

1. I would struggle to name 4 to 6 guys better than Romo in the NFL.
2. Bring in the old "but he has a ring" argument to validate your own pigeon-holed opinion, because if you look at them, I'd say they're probably tied at #3 for best QB in the NFL.
3. How do we know? If Romo ever got to play against a team that rushed 4 more times than not, and one of those guys had a gimped ankle, and the defensive backs sat back in a zone, he might do even better. It would help if Roy Williams didn't drop wide open balls either.
Did he not see the second Giants game where he sat a Cowboys record of 41 0f 52 392 yds 3 TDs, yeah to Goshan, Romo isn't capabale of that.

Anyone who won't admit Brees looked better than Romo is totally a homer. I don't think Romo goes 32 for 37 in that game.
I love Romo - he is top 5-7 QB in the NFL. But Brees accuracy and decision making were absolutely superb. He is a notch better than Tony right now - largely because he is calmer under pressure and just amazingly accurate. He senses pressure earlier and calmly throws it short to an open RCVR before the lineman is totally in his face.

I think any one that came away from that game thinking Brees looked better than Romo is going by the stats only and was not watching the game.

Brees missed many open receivers down the field, his lack of arm strength really showed, his passes took so long getting to the receivers that the defesive players were getting there at the same time.

Brees completed a high percentage of passes was the result of play calling more than anything, most were very short passes and many of those were a little more than handoffs.

i came away from that game thinking how lucky the Cowboys are to having Romo.

Garrett really must go, he just does not have it! yes some games he does a very good job but he does not go with the strengths of the team. almost like he is stubborn he does not adjust well during the games...

I think they're wishing Wayne doesn't quit on a route, drop a TD and Garcon sp? doesn't drop a perfect pass that possibly could have been about a 60 yard TD. That and Mr. Kendra not flubbing the onsides kick. Besides all that, yeah they're wishing they had another QB.

This is so dead on!
