Romo In Same League as Brady and Manning

Romo a freelancer? Where do you get that from? You might just be used to watching one QB just go time and time again to one receiver rather then find all his checkdowns and take the open guy...maybe that is why you think Romo freelances?

I sure have not seen it yet....

I got that from watching him play, he can scramble out of the pocket and make plays out of nothing. That's what i mean by "freelancer"

Plus Crayton said that Romo is a freelancer type, so i used it here

Yeah you're the guy that "pimps" the QB that has a career passer rating of less than 80.

Romo has shown more ability in the last two games than Bledsoe has since 2002.

2 games don't make a career.....teams are going to catch up to Romo and when they do it's going to get ugly especially in this forum.

WHOA there Hoss......it's only been 2 games let's not put him in the HOF yet.
He's smoking dope if he thinks Tony, is in the same league as Brady, or Manning maybe down the road if he can keep up the good work at quarterback but it's way too early.

True

But you guys finally got your corners healthy and you guys brought the heat on almost every play (especially on 3rd down).

Sean Taylor was extremely close to get at lease 3 sacks that game had it not been for Romo getting the ball out early.

And that play Romo made, where he scrambled, had the presses of mind to know where the LOS and threw it to Barber for a huge pickup was just great.

No my friend, that was the High Pressure Defense of Gregg Williams that we are use to seeing.

It was frustrating that the blitz was not getting through the line. But our defense has been a weak point, especially our secondary. Springs is not 100% yet, and Archuleta is a liability. Carlos seems to have regressed slightly, and ST has not been playing up to his potential.

GW was definitely blitzing more this game, but they were telegraphing the blitz (it seemed like to me).

But I did compliment Romo, just in case you missed it! :p:

Yeah, I know you did, but you have to admit, you guys brought the heat and I am convinced you get Bledsoe 3-5 times what the time of pressure you were bringing.

Do you think the RedStinks are afraid of the eagle defense? You do know that they are not what everyone thinks they are don't you?

(well, everyone except their "fandoms" that is)...

Philly's defense is young, and makes a lot of mistakes a defense without strong veteran leadership makes. They still have a buttload of talent, however -- and Sheppherd, Hood and Dawkins are a very nice trio of DBs, especially when their DLine can get pressure on the QB.

Bledsoe has only had a handful of very good games in his career.

Teams didnt even need to catch up to him, he stands there and waits for them.

Romo has shown some promise, certainly more than I was hoping for.

I agree. Too bad he wasn't playing! :D

So, when do you expect his decline to begin? How many game tapes need to circulate before teams finally start getting "film" of him?

And what tendencies has he shown that make you say/think, "Uh oh, he'll start paying for that later."

Lastly, how do you explain the success he HAS already had? Dumb luck? What makes him "luckier" than other first-time starters that don't have this type of success?

I want answers, not just blanket statements. Because, frankly, I'm willing to listen to why one may think he'll fail if he'll actually substantiate his arguments.

Define "catch up"?

I've seen 3 defenses blitz the crap out of this guy... I've seen defenses try all sorts of different coverage techniques... I've seen his own team-mates fail him...

But he's still putting up some very good numbers.

What do you think other teams are going to do? Put 15 guys on the field?

Jealousy doesn't suite you.

:lmao:

Some of these Bledsoe fans need to join a 'Skins forum. They're likely to get MUCH more support of Bledsoe starting there than they will here.

Regardless of the status of your defense... they brought it on what seemed like every down and Romo was exceptional.... thanks for helping Romo out with that

Well said Dale.

The guy has an agenda and has "nothing" to support his point of view-- except for the contempt his has for Romo because his choice in QB's lost his job (again).

Hey now, dont send them our way. The Bledsoe HOF argument/debate would be a funny one though.

When Commanders fans start clamouring for "your" guy then you know you are nothing but a Hack for that player.

Just think about it man, Commanders want "your" guy to start for us, that should at least tell you something  .

Lets just wait and make sure Romo is going to be league average or better over the balance of the season before we start putting him in a class with two all world QB's.

If T.O. wouldn't have dropped that sure TD, the situation might have been different the key word "might" but that's a catch T.O. has to make especially given the fact that he had two defenders beat for it.

Admit you exhaled deeply when T.O. dropped that deep pass that was a gimmie TD.

But the Skins made the plays when it mattered and that's that.

Obviously some people don't pay attention to the stats that matter. I could care less what his numbers look like after 3 games, I care about the end result: Wins and Losses

As for catching up, defenses around the league will have more film on him the more he plays. I have scouted him since preseason and I see some glaring weaknesses in his game that will be exploited.....trust me on this. He stares down receivers and in this league that is a no-no.

Are you serious? One of his biggest strength is scanning the field.
