Romo road record

I agree, especially during those games like Denver from last year. Instead of Romo expecting the defense to bail him out, he should've threw for 600 yards and 6 tds. Romo didn't help himself out enough, he ended up with only 500 yards and 5 TDs, which is meh considering the opponent we played.

lol
exactly.

Plus the comedy that some will turn early season non-division games like Detroit or the Jets 3 years ago into crucial games. It's so ludicrous.

But the Denver game is the filter. That automatically equals football moron if anyone thinks that game was remotely on Romo.

Lol at the "many others had heard of this record", man the stat was pulled from Wikipedia.

LOL, .. oh yeah, you must be right, .. only two or three people have ever looked on Wikipedia.

Like it is some obscure web site.

I'm sorry, but when there are black and white stipulations behind a game; such as if you win...you go to the playoffs, then I'd say it's pretty crucial.

This is coming from me as a fan; not from any ESPN brainwashing.

There is nothing special about a regular season game just because it comes at the end... they all have the same value. Stop watching so much ESPN and think for yourself. This team has not played a crucial game in nearly five years.

On the road. Yes, very obscure. First time I've ever heard it too. Also first time it has ever been brought up on this forum. Obscure and pointless stat IMO

LOL, .. wow, just think, there may even be another record out there that you have never heard of.

You can relax, in my original post, I never suggested that this made him the greatest NFL QB, .. only that more consecutive road game TD passes than any other QB in NFL history was impressive.

I didn't know someone would not see that consistency as impressive.

If that does not impress you, I'm OK with that.

I can relax? I thought I was already relaxed? Yeah, it's real impressive that he holds some random obscure stat. I wonder what other obscure stats he owns that some of us would find amazing?

None I'm sure.

No individual stat will ever impress you, .. only team goals satisfy you.

Which no player can do on their own.

LOL, and if you call jumping stiff legged every time someone/anyone says something good about Romo as being relaxed, .. then yeah, .. you're relaxed.

So thinking for myself apparently means agreeing with your viewpoint despite it clashing with my own...

Romo played one heck of a game...

Romo had a chance to drive down the field with the game tied and win...

Romo threw an interception.

That interception is on him.

The unfortunately part of that interception was his foot getting interfered with preventing his normal follow thru and causing a loss of velocity. On the other hand, if we get any defensive stops in that game we win going away and Romo isn't put in that position to start with.

Sure, so the loss is 1% on Romo.
Also, that was one of the better interceptions of the NFL season...a beautiful diving grab by the Denver defender....and Romo clearly had his foot stepped on during the pass. But good play by Demver in a day that Dallas punted only once...but Denver never punted at all.

Like all QBs in the league...no exceptions...Romo has had his ugly moments.
The Denver game was just not one of them.

We lose by 25-28 pts without him that day. He and the offense were unconscious.

The Ten Percenters at their finest. Put Russell Wilson, Eli Manning, Matt Ryan, Big Ben or Kurt Warner, all playoff winners, on the Cowboys with the offensive lines and defense we've had the last five years and they don't sniff a single playoff game let alone win.

Wait! My bad... Matty Ice has led TWO 13-3 teams to ZERO playoff wins.

I understand you guys have your opinions of Romo - but you have to be wore out from getting owned in every single Romo thread. If he wins a Siper Bowl I really don't know if you would be happy or mad as hell.

If it wasn't for this forum I never would have heard of it.

We did have one defensive stop in that game. Peyton got intercepted.

That's true.

Football. The team sport where, the only difference in the minds of fans, between passes badly thrown by both quarterbacks, is the W and the L. Heck. If not for an oversight, who would have thought to mention a Peyton Manning error within yet another Romo thread turned Romo bash?

Wait. I'm the one calling it a Peyton Manning error. What was actually stated was a correction, referring to a rare, yet very good play by an otherwise atrocious defense from last season. My bad. :)
