Romo speaks to the media **merged**

It's good to see everyone's true colors come out in regards to Tony. Congrats Romo haters, you got your wish.
Come out? You're reading established members' comments. The commentary does not differ from anything that has been posted in the past.

If anyone tired to discredit Romo winning at Green Bay and Pitt, they would be called Romo haters. I appreciate what Romo has done for this team, but it seems like some are bigger fans of Romo than they are of the team.

thats true, but he could have said I wont answer any questions about this or that.
Just answer a few then go. it looks better.

but i know they would ask some dumb questions.
Tony did the right thing. The media would make a big deal no matter how he answered them....probably twist his words.

How much pressure is on Jason Garrett if dak is just kinda off for like an entire half vs Seattle and we're down like 20-7

Yep. You know it. Dumb baiting question after dumb baiting question.

In order to avoid saying "I'm just here so so don't get fined" he didn't answer questions. classy team first move by a classy dude.

Tony Romo: "I support Dak and have no plans of retiring. But if they trade me to the Browns, I'll be retired before they hang up the phone."

See now this says the jones boys have told tony they dont need him and are going all in on dak as the future.
I think it is too soon for that, Dak has only played 9 games.

They need to keep tony for another season if he would go along with it.

@DFWJC with you, also, being a huge advocate for Romo over the years, I just wanted to thank you, too, pal.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for having the back of our great franchise QB. It's sad that you needed to defend him so, but you did, and did admirably, my brother. It didn't go unnoticed.

Thank you, JC. God bless, brother.

Of course, that's part of if built by Callahan and the introduction of the zone blocking scheme.. Garrett also always went away from the run as OC, besides the fact his offense was built on big lineman and man blocking..

I also don't think our defense 'folded' two years ago. Of course you dispute catch, which I won't discuss, but the game dealing play on that drive was a batted pass that luckily found its way to a GB WR if I remember correctly.

2014 was the first year with Linehan as play caller.. this is basically year 2 in total control. He clearly didn't have that control last year, otherwise Moore would have started and they wouldn't have made the move for Cassell..

Jerry even hinted that coaching was at fault for not winning some games..

We had to go away from the run a lot when Garrett was the OC we didn't have a great back or the OL we have now. Once we built the OL and Murray came along and was able to stay healthy our running game took off. The defense was terrible vs Green Bay in the playoffs, we couldn't get a pass rush on a one legged Aaron Rogers and he shredded us in the second half. We couldn't stop them with 4 minutes to play and they ate up the clock.

That was a joke tweet.

I'll be honest, there were a few times I thought he was going to breakdown. Also, I felt like a lot of what he was saying was forced rather than coming from the heart. I understand he wants to be the guy out there, and I feel for him in that regard, but I think it still makes things awkward between him and Dak.

Having said that, it was very classy and outs to bed this entire discussion. Good for Romo and I hope Dak appreciates what just happened.

...me when Romo started speaking

Not true.. we even went away right after a game when Felix had 100 yards and refused to run again..

And Callahan came here after Tony Sparano took the Jets job, though Dallas wanted him back. That opened it up for Callahan who revamped the whole OL, making it a zone blocking one and it's clear his influence in the matter of JG getting 'deposed' from play calling, because he was set to become OC and play caller the next year after one year. That's and Tony's new contract is what shifted the move away from Garrett. Jones made it clear that Romo would be involved in game planning and before that Garrett didn't let him.

Garrett was continuously bashed for going away from the run and that was one reason, in fact the primary reason why Wade wanted Dan Reeves here, to oversee the running game.

Everyone knows what I thought of Tony Romo, but during the season, I always, and I mean ALWAYS, rooted for him to succeed. I usually didn't start my Romo hate/rant until after the season when things were over. This is how I will always be.
Now with Dak, he has 4 years to get us to the Super Bowl or I will be the exact same as I was with Romo. To me, it's about Team Success, that's it.
