Romo was not going to be anything in the playoffs unless Dak got hurt.
Considering who we have as backups right now, I'm not so sure they were concerned about our backup QB. I'm fairly certain that they were more worried about the media circus as a result of Romo tearing up the Eagles defense. Of course they would never tell us that so we don't know for sure.

"Unless Dak got hurt" ... the QB ... the guy that handles the ball on every offensive snap ... the guy that makes decisions at the line of scrimmage and distributes the ball as needed ...

Most team's ability to compete in the playoffs would die with an injury to the QB, but with Romo that wouldn't have been the case. Accordingly, he was a key player to protect.

Shows how petty JJ is. Romo goes in, but the guy who gave you 3 rings..Jimmy is not.
Jimmy's there. Jerry just didn't have time to type his name on the list yet.:lmao:

I don't recall him saying Jimmy wouldn't go in.

I also think it's fair to note that Jimmy was only there for 5 years and 2 rings, not 3. I know - it was largely Jimmy's players that won the 3rd, but he still can't get credit for something he wasn't on the team for. And there actually were some key players on that 3rd Super Bowl team that weren't Jimmy's, most notably Deion Sanders and Larry Allen.

I guess winning championships isn't important anymore!! So Romo goes in under the participation award....Every since Haley, the rental, Jerry has cheapening the ROH...

Yeah in all the team sports let's take...
Chris Carter,
Barry Sanders
Dan Marino
Warren Moon
Jim Kelly
Sonny Jorgenson (never even won a single playoff game and he's in the HOF)

And recall any awards they've received.

Throw out the bums like...
Charles, Barkley
Elgin Baylor
Patrick Ewing
Karl Malone,
John Stockton
Ted Williams
Ernie Banks
Ken Griffey Jr
Carl Yastrzemski, and on and on and on...

When you get to individual team ROH's the list is in the hundreds.

ALL UNDESERVING OF ANYTHING! ALL LOSERS! THEY COULDN'T EVEN DO IT BY THEMSELVES!

That could be the worst post of the year and cheapened the Board and that's saying something...

But here's an award for at least participating in the Zone so you won't feel bad.

Hired gun..he played for the 49ers longer

The Triplets stated that Haley was instrumental during their SB run because Haley was the only player who had previously played and won in SBs. Likewise, he helped pushed the young Cowboys in practice as well.

It stunned me to find Sonny Jergensen never won a playoff game.

LOL - players who did not win a championship in your world do not deserve any recognition. That was your message. I named players who have all received recognition and did not win a championship. Forget HOF, I could've listed a hundred more in team ROH's.

Apples & Oranges?

C'mon man, it's a terrible position to take and completely indefensible and I know you want it back.

Yep - it's unbelievable.

Also, there was a reporter who wrote for the Minneapolis Star Tribune who publicly said he would never vote for a Dallas Cowboy to be inducted into the Hall OF Fame.

Lot of shenanigans back then - maybe even still.

With football becoming more and more analytical - it's going to be tough to continue holding onto "no rings" argument. Players like Romo and Rivers are some of the best to ever play the position and should be both respected by their teams after retired and seeing the HOF.

Stop speaking in meme and make an argument.

Show me a good season that came from Aikman when he didn't have a ton of talent surrounding him. I'll wait.

Aikman could have put up big passing numbers like Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Steve Young, etcetera; if he played in pass happy offenses like they did.

Aikman stated it himself in the video below; with Drew Brees narrating as well.

Aikman sacrificed his stats for the benefit of the team.

Aikman can say whatever he wants - when the team went into a slight decline he went into a serious decline.

Again, why did he look god awful the last 5 years of his career when the team needed him to put them on his shoulder? Marino had to do that for 2 decades.

Aikman won 3 SBs in 4 years. The team was not built for Aikman to carry them. The team was built to get leads and let Emmitt and the OL pound the opposing teams into submission.

The serious decline took place when Jimmy left. Likewise, guys slacked off.

Aikman stated the 96 team was not as good as the 95 team. The 95 team was not as good as the 94 team. The 94 team was not as good as the 93 team. No SB appearances or wins since 1995.

When Jimmy Johnson went to Miami, Dan Marino would not buy in to a balanced attack. It was obvious Marino needed some help to win a SB.

....you are just proving my point.

So, Aikman was only a good QB when he has a historic OL, an iconic RB, a HOF WR, and a great and underappreciated defense?

That's what I am arguing LOL So again, if Aikman was so great, why couldn't he show off these abilities when we had to rely on him more? The year he had to throw as much as Favre and Marino was one of his worse seasons of his career.

And even with that 95 team declining, it was still loaded with talent and one we added to in FA with Sanders.

If a teams honors are as stringent as the HOF, then the team is doing it wrong
