Romo will remain on active roster

And I would also agree with you to let Tony spend more healthy times with his kids.

I"m going to hit Tony up on twitter to let him know about this 'spend healthy time with his kids' angle you guys have come up with. I'm sure he'll appreciate the angle for the legitimate concern for his well-being that it truly is.

Just kidding. I'm going to be over here in the corner, gagging on the phoniness of it all. Blech.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will undergo more tests this week on his back before the team decides whether to keep him on the active roster or place him on injured reserve, according to coach Jason Garrett.

On Sunday, a source told ESPN.com the Cowboys would keep Romo on the active roster.

Romo wanted to come back in against SEA....this was after writhing in pain and grabbing his back on the field.....you could see the pain and the fear on his face....... he was watching Dak take his job and was willing to risk his long-term health to go back into a pre-season game.....what do you think he'll do for a real game....'just a flesh wound'
Good lord man.
I like how some you know how Romo is feeling. He's never once come across as someone who is hugely insecure.
Wish you guys wouldn't project how you might feel, insecure, into someone else's situation.

Coming from you in particular...and not some of the nut jobs or long term haters out there (say hello game over, ufc, etc) ...this is a bit surprising.

Can't we just let Dak play his best, pull for his success, and let Romo continue to spends hours with him after work trying to help him get better, without people making crap up?

Can't you just see the pain and fear on his face here? He looks terrified.

Actually, I was kind of doing the same tongue and cheek as you were in the response to somebody else saying that. It's taken a life of its own. I'm sure Tony and Candice are comforted knowing their kids are in good hands with the Zone.

Heck, we could even take babysitting shifts (except for Risen - not sure how the kids would take him).

Kids can sense evil.

Sorry I missed the tongue in that cheek.

I call them like a I see them.....Tony looked worry about his back and his future, it is only natural.......why else would he try to hobble back into a pre-season game.....you guys act like you have never been fighting for a spot on a roster, it is cut throat....but I never once said I wanted Dak over a healthy Romo....Romo has always been our best chance to go deep in the playoffs.....I love Romo but he has a broken back, not a hangnail........you guys are the ones that can't have a realistic conversation about Romo without getting over-sensitive..... he was injured with enough force to crack a vertebrae, I can guarantee the discs all didn't survive unscathed....and I had surgery to correct a herniated disc in the L5-S1 region.....it doesn't get better with more time and hits

Man please. Ive seen ya posts, and know you despise Romo. Get it through your brain that hes a top QB in this league and will come back as soon as hes healthy (maybe even before knowing him). You and a lot of others are failing to put his injuries in to perspective. Yes he broke his collarbone twice.

The first time a 300lb drove him right in to the ground in an akward way, thus breaking it. This would have happened to anybody.

The second time he broke it, he clearly came back too early, got sacked, and broke it again. Do you know why he came back early? Because this team and coaching staff have shown they can not win without him (something that you and a lot of this board continuosly forget).

The last injury was a small fracture in a place that wont allow him to play. Romo himself wanted to go back in the game after it happened.

You haven't been part of this community long enough to know who I despise and who I don't. Howabout you tell us where you were when the fans on this board were the only Cowboys fans in the country defending and lauding Tony. You wait til Tony has a career year and then bandwagon your way to being his number one fan. Hahahaha. Get real . I have more Tony gear than most fans have Cowboys gear. Try again buddy.

Oh, how many bones has he broke in his back? How many bones does the average QB break in his back? How many bones has he broken period in the last 3-4 years? How many other injuries has he had to deal with? Hell yea, he's a a tough freedom dude, and I'd take him in his prime almost more than any other QB in the NFL because of how much I love his tough real man style of play. I'm just a realist. I know when to call a spade a spade. It's over. Time to move on.

Romo is not fighting for a spot on the roster
Good grief

again you don't understand what I am saying....... anyone that has ever played on a competitive team sport knows that someone is always gunning for your spot......Tony is just being super-sensitive like Favre, Peyton and Brady........they never come out because they never want to give their competition a chance to shine.... it is why guys try to hide concussions......coaches will replace you if you can't contribute.......'can't make the club from the tub'........Romo isn't in any immediate danger but he is 36 with a history of injuries

I'm pretty sure he could keep up with Romo
Right now, holding clip board, yes. While he is injured.
I think you are finally right for once...in all of these years...about any discussion regarding Romo.
Congrats!
Johnny freaking Manziel
:lmao2:

Come think of it...I think you are still oh for whatever.
Because even on the sideline and in practice, Romo can help Dak way more than Manziel ever could

Well, if we're all lucky.
Dak will be the full time starter soon enough.
I would guess much later than some think though.

The injury does change things some for him...unfortunately for both him and the team.
But pre injury, Romo was more mobile, had a over arm, and was feeling better than he had in years.
He looked FAR better than Dak in practices every day.
He's going way out of his way to help Dak...maybe more than with any other QB before him.

I don't think he's remotely worried and don't think any of the coaches are even considering the possibility at this early stage.

That day will come though

Ive been on this board for years, and noticed all of your anti-romo bs.

Hes coming back this season, whether you like it or not. Deal with it.

Yeah, Mr. five more years....lol

I don't think you want to go down the road of who's right and who's wrong when it comes to Romo do we? I thought not. Now run along and figure out what team you'll cheer for when Romo makes it official and retires, oh wait, maybe he'll go to Canada and you can still cheer for him.

And a couple three or four bones in his back. I think you should only be allowed to comment if you have had back surgery or broken bones in your back. It would defintely weed out the ignorance. And no Idgit, I am not calling you ignorant. Just the group of people who have no idea about how broken vertebrae, slipped or ruptured disks, broken transverse process, or other severe back issues effect people. You should listen to those who have. You are NEVER the same.

And you would be wrong. Compression fractures and broken transverse processes typically have no ongoing issues for otherwise healthy people. There is plenty of literature in regard to his if you really care to look. All kinds of resources on the web.

Drop the kids by my place on Wednesday. That's Gypsy Day in the cul-de-sac and I need something to trade and I'm running out of cats.
