But I honestly think this list is based on last year. That top 10 had good years.

Are we really calling the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020 an 8-8 team? It was ridiculously stacked.

If you take Jerrys last 5 years as a GM then yes

GM puts talent on the field and fields competitive teams and Jerry has done that actually outside of 2000-2002 jerry has always had talent on the field and been in the mix for playoffs outside of some injury riddled years

now the issue is hes been GM for over 30 years and hasnt had postseason success since the 95 season

now if you judge him off that alltogether thats when it gets dicey

Jerry the GM and Jerry the Owner have worked together to build the most valuable sports entertainment franchise in the *world*, and I think for at least 5 years running now.
Why would he even entertain the idea of fundamentally changing how he is doing business?

I think with probably 10 other QBs they make the playoffs the previous year….hell maybe if Jamie’s reels it back some they may win more than 8 with him. But thru were technically a 8 win team before he got there. But there’s a reason Brady went there. He wasn’t stupid. He knew they were deep.

Jerry’s entire football career is based on Jimmy’s coaching and personnel genius. Look at the results post Jimmy. Look at the playoff wins since the 1994 SB. Dallas is with the bottom feeders.

I didn't disregard that. he did it as an owner. Johnson was the defacto GM, running everything.

It seems that someone must have left out the basic job responsibility of film and player evaluation study when including Jerry in this ranking list of NFL GMs.
Most know Jerry is not performing this foundational aspect to the title he holds.
Its common knowledge that McClay is the talent evaluator and draft board prep guy. The most basic function of all the 31 other GMs.

It's like you can't even classify Jerry because he doesn't do the job that the 31 other guys do so he's pretty much a stand alone guy in his own category.

And that is, "GM in title only". (*Does not perform player evaluations.)
