And why should average performance be ranked dead last? Don't hurt yourself trying to figure this "logic" thing out.

Because it wasn't average. Because I dressed myself this morning so I can figure out he took a dynasty and destroyed it. Then had to bring in a HOF head coach like Parcells to act as a quasi-GM to rebuild the roster Jerry was responsible for. Then has done his best to destroy that core since he's left.

When I do this list, I start with Jerry on the bottom and then work up. It's not even close to debatable and there is no debate outside of the Cowboys fan base.

How many Super Bowls did those Pro Bowlers produce? In Dallas, Super Bowls used to be all that matters, I guess we've followed our GM's lead, and lowered our standards.

You're right, we might as well have gone 3-13 with no Pro Bowlers!

Football 101: the GM puts the talent on the field. If the team is good enough to win 13 games and produces a ton of Pro Bowlers, it means the GM did a pretty good job.

If you're not smart honest or honest enough to know that SOMEONE deserves credit for building such a team, you're hopeless.

How many GM's in the league choose their head coaches assistants and allow players to come to him an over ride the coaches authority? To me, that is more important than draft picks. The team has no leader, which is the most important part.

Yep. Not only is he the worst talent evaluator of the GMs, he trumps that by bringing his equally unqualified son in as his top personnel assistant and by undermining his coaching staff.

Honestly, there isn't a worse alternative than having Jerry Jones as the owner of your team.

I don't believe you dressed yourself. You don't seem capable.

.500 is average no matter what metric you drama queens choose to use. And see my above post with our 2007 Pro Bowlers if you think Parcells was solely responsible for rebuilding our roster. Get a clue.

I gave you the truth. I'm not interested in seeing anything you wrote. I lived through it. The worst GM on the planet had to bring in a hired gun like Bill Parcells to raise him out of the 5-11 doldrums and give the team new life. Then has wasted that core when he got his hands back on the wheel.

You keep clinging to average results. Some us are smart enough to understand those results.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Interesting that those who defend Jerry Jones and his .500 record turn around in the same breath and expect everyone to overlook the "metric" of Jason Garrett's W/L record and instead feel giddy about things being "built".

Since when is .500 acceptable performance for the Dallas Cowboys?

Also, that's a .500 record while having the highest payroll in football.

No. because you cannot convince me he brought in the morning newspaper.

Because isn't it you who continue to shout out the scouts are the ones who come to Jerry with these good ideas?

Straddle the fence, Nav. Jerry is a buffoon.

I remember the good old days when you defended Jerry Jones, TD. Good times.

Hahaha. Not at all surprising that someone with your emotional, illogical makeup would avoid the facts. I have a 14 year-old cousin and she makes decisions in quite the same way you do.

I'm not "clinging" to anything but the facts. An average record is an average record. Period.

You're not quite ready to sit at the grown-ups table and discuss things logically like a big boy, so I'll just wish you a good night.

Is that the same GM that continues to hire bad HC's, gives out horrible contracts to old players, has a less than stellar record when it comes to the draft, hasn't won a Super Bowl in almost two decades, has only won one playoff game in almost two decades, ran off the best coach/talent evaluator in team history, was the mastermind behind the Joey Galloway and Roy Williams trades, hires coordinators before HC's, has put his team in cap hell, has taken "America's Team" and turned them into "America's Laughing Stock"? That GM? Sounds amazing. But hey, we have a cool looking stadium, with an even cooler nickname!

Hahahaha. You're an emotional wreck.

I hope someone else in your household makes the financial decisions. And every other important decision.

I don't think these rankings were published for the owners to evaluate their ROI in real money.

No fan cares how much the Yankees spend to win. Do the fans get reduced ticket prices if Cashman wins for less money?

Why would the fans of the team with the best winning record over multiple years care how much it cost in real money or cap space?

Fans care about money issues with teams that aren't winning because it appears that their spending habits are tied to the lack of winning.

I know plenty of yankee fans who are incensed that the payroll should get them in the dance every year and they are getting worse and worse. Flip side, baseball fans in the bay are pretty happy with Beane considering he is a small time market.

If you are winning, fans dont care - no one cares. But when you are losing, fans care and owners care AND if they know you spent a ton of money to deliver what the Royals delivered, then they want to run you out of town.

Jerry is such a clown and utter fraud as a GM. He'll never be seen as a real football guy by the NFL guys. I have clients who are agents and they all think he and jr. are fools.

Good one, Abigail!

I'm a sheep because I rank average performance as... average?

That's just me using this thing called "logic." You see, those of us who don't have the luxury of throwing an emotional hissy-fit anytime something doesn't go our way have to use this "logic" thing quite regularly.

I know this is all making your head hurt, but stay with me.

In school, when you got all C's on your tests and all C's on your homework assignments... did you get C's on your report card or F's?

You're welcome. Take some Advil and get some sleep. You've had a big day!
