Roy Williams and Sean Taylor - The Debate Must End

Then again, my experience watching Cowboys games is pretty limited.

yet, you want to come here and proclaim ST is better than RW  ..... try watching some of the games sometimes and don't base your opinion on ESPN or Extremeskins!

Hey, I'm just going off of second-hand information, which we all do. Have you seen every game, watched every bit of footage and watched the workouts of every person you comment on??? Of course not. That's not your job. You have to take the FACTS people present, the bit of game footage you do see and your own common sense and make judgments. At least i can admit that I'm not infalliable.

Pinkston actually looked for Roy before even reaching for the ball. I certainly remember Glenn running past Taylor on a play action fake.

I certainly remember that it was a flea flicker and not a play action. I also certainly remember 1 x Clinton Portis upending Roy Williams. And I also remember Santana Moss blowing by RW twice in one game. Your point?

We could - if that wasn't a lie.

The video evidence is there. And the commentators were talking about Glenn's alligator arms the entire day.

So, RW is always in the perfect position to make a play??? Safeties will every so often give up a big play, nobody is perfect and ST will develop that part of his game as time comes. To ask a rookie/2nd year player to never bite on a fake and always be in position is absurd.
I wouldn't ask a rookie/2nd year player to do that. But until he does, he can't be considered an elite player.

Haha, so you think an elite player should never, ever make a mental mistake? He doesn't do it consistently, I can only remember 2 or 3 times last season that he was burnt. I think that is pretty damn good.

burnt 2 or 3 times, then throw in all the lost yardage do to acting like a 5 year old... too much inconsistency to be considered elite. S Taylor is hands down the most physically talented safety in the league, if he ever puts his head in the game he'll be tops. Just one man's opinion.

This is really getting comical.

"OMGzorz. Totally Alligator Arms!11!1!!1!11 Glenn PWNED by Taylor!1!11oneeleven!1111 l337sauce!!1111"

While the other side substitutes Williams in for Taylor.

And back and forth it goes.

Its really simple. Roy will be defended by Cowboys fans. Sean will be defended by Commanders fans. And the unbiased fans will be split.

Well, if you're going off second hand knowledge then I certainly see why you have a BIASED opinion!

ESPN = Skins Lovers and Cowboy haters!

your right ST is physically one of the best FS in the NFL. I remember watching skins game....I can't remember if it was last year or the year before last. The comentators said he just wasn't smart enough.

Roy has had a lot more time to get recognized all-pro, and Sean will make all-pro when his off-the-field issues fade. Your expecting a 3 year player to have accomplished everything that a 6 year player has.
Anyways, all cowboy fans have said that Larry Allen didn't deserve to go to the pro-bowl, that he got there on name only. And everyone knows that Mike Vick didn't deserve to be there either. He's not even a top 10 QB in most people's lists. On the other hand, there are people who finally got the deserved recognition. Read: Mack Strong.

Roy has played 4 years, In those 4 years he is a 3 time pro bowler, and a 3 time (I believe) All Pro

He doesn't play for the darling Cowboys.

LMAO What a lame excuse, so I take it there are lots of undeserving All pros out there?

I also remember Glenn ducking and opting not to go after a pass over the middle because of Taylor. We can play this game all day.

Post a link please so we can all point out the fact that the ball was uncatchable and you can try to defend your position.

In other words, Sean Taylor is not even good enough to make All Pro.

The debate will never end. Roy Williams has made mistakes, Sean Taylor has made mistakes. Roy Williams has made outstanding plays, Sean Taylor has made outstanding plays.

Every Cowboy fan will say that Roy Williams is the better safety until the end. The same goes for every Commander fan.

Except the Skins fans would be wrong.

;)

Seriously, if you Skins fans know this.....why do you continue to post here? Why do you continue to try to "persuade" us that Taylor is better? Are you persistent....or just dumb?

Yes b/c we all know that no one who really deserves it is ever left off, or someone who get on by name recognition only ever makes it on...

Didn't Larry Allen once make the Pro Bowl after playing in only 8 games?

This thread is more evidence the season really needs to start...

And as for those saying Skins fans coming on here trying to "persuade" Cowboys fans...well there are just as 'Boys many on ES doing the same thing for Roy Williams...

Skins fans are going to stick with Taylor, Boys fans with Williams...
