I don't understand how Roy Williams can be so lost at times, run the wrong route, bad timing, or has brick hands and can't catch. I was excited thinking Dallas had finally addressed the WR position by getting a good young talented WR. But Roy's continued failure makes me wish he was on the bench and another young guy put in the lineup.

Bench Roy for now, he sucks.

He's getting open, him and Romo are just not on the same page. If they can correct that he'll be fine
Funny how Miles Austin doesn't have any trouble catching balls thrown by Romo.

yeah, brick hands and bad route running is not helping much either....sit Roy for a couple weeks and see if that wakes him up....

He did against Denver. Now the last three have been pretty good but there has been a couple of misses involving that combo also.

or that Percy Harvin doesn't have any trouble catching balls from Favre as well as blowing up special teams.

Since Austin became the starter he has made Williams a distant memory.

If this team is going to take it to another level and compete for a championship it is going to need for Roy and Romo to get in sync. Seems like Romo is expecting to do one thing and he does another. Maybe they should forget about the option routes with RW and just let him do one thing, dumb it down if you will.

That sounds reasonable. It would be interesting to see game film from Roy's good year(s) in Detroit to see what routes he had success with. I remember Roy killing us one year in the red zone, his hands and size should make him a weapon inside the 20 where his lack of speed is perhaps less of an issue and he has a good 1st down/end zone reach, it's just the being in the right place thingie.

Are you kidding me? That wasn't a route, that was a wr screen.

ok let me rephrase that

RW was supposedly coming in all summer to catch passes fron Romo

but yet Ogletree an UDFA came in the game today an caught 1 pass for 19

yet it takes Romo an RW's a year an half to get on the same page

so he catches 2 out of 7 passes for 19 yards

and some of you guys are still not worried???????????????????

simply amazing

I can't remember who, but someone brought up an interesting point in a RW thread last week.

He said that Roy doesn't look like he is running fast, so thats why Romo throws behind him so much. We had a guy like that on our track team. He was a tall, lanky runner that looked like he was jogging all the time, but when you looked at the clock, he was turning in some very fast numbers.

Roy looks to be exactly like this. Romo may need to adjust his throws accordingly so that Roy has a chance to catch up to the passes.

The fact it wasn't a route pretty much killed your argument whether you rephrase it or not.

Funny how Miles doesn't seem to have the ball thrown behind him or 2 feet over his reach. Listen, this aint all route running. Romo missed a couple of different WRs today. This was not one of his most accurate outings. I think it sucks that you blame Williams for not catching balls he clearly had no ability to catch but hey, it's a business. I guess if the coaching staff agrees, they'll sit him. If not, all you guys can continue to complain. Either way, I doubt it will be boring.

LOL... You know that Romo and Ogletree have chemistry equal to that of Romo and Miles or Romo and Witten, etc., based on one pass?

We may be wise, but we're not clairevoyant. We can't compete with you.

So is that the way you admit you are wrong?
I'm not wrong about anything in this case. Austin has been a far superior WR this year and it's really sad. Roy Williams is going down as the worst trade in franchise history right now and there are no excuses for it more than a year into the trade. Blame Romo all you want, but other receivers aren't having any problems with Romo.

I'm pretty sure we could have had Harvin with the first we gave up for Roy and still have had a huge amount of money to try and sign an upper echelon player in free agency. That player could very well have been Roy Williams if Jerry still wante to invest in another WR so he could drop TO.

He's a long-strider. You would think if it was purely a speed thing Romo would have already adjusted though.
