I would not want to give my cell phone or my passwords over to an employer.

I don't think they can force you to turn it over. They have no subpoena powers. But it is in the CBA that players are required to cooperate fully with any investigation.

From what I read, the League just wanted access. His lawyers would have been able to keep anything non-pertinent private.
