I'm in shock, like many others I figured he'd pull through this, he was a very talented player and the heart of the Commanders defense. An event like this should eclipse all rivalries and "hatred", a 24 year old man is dead there's no reason to bring grudges into this.

Also, I love the background on the site, whoever was responsible for that.

I'm stunned.

This is a horrible event. I know death doesn't discriminate by age, but it just seems so much worse in a way, that someone young must leave this world. Im only 3 years younger and in my eyes theres still much in life left to live, but God has his plans, which i respect. R.I.P Sean.

Sorry, but you're an idiot.

Why because he has the nads to write what many are thinking but are too afraid to write?

His position is at least consistent.

Others here who have called Taylor every name in the book, thug, criminal are now acting like he was a saint.

Don't attack him because he has a different view than you.

You don't have to believe like anyone else except what you want to believe in my friend. I have had doubts about stuff like that myself, however, there has to be an outlet, a belief, a something, that helps in time of mourning or need. It can be God or the cat next door, whatever, it's your choice.

The important thing right now is Sean's family, teammates, Commander fans, and football fans in general. All of us need some sort of outlet to try and understand WHY? Just why?

But, life goes on, so look around and count your blessings. Tell your loved ones how much you love them EVERYDAY. And live life to the fullest, because it can be taken away from you in an instant, just like the tragedy that took Sean's life. Dying a natural death is hard to handle. But having something like this happen is even harder, especially for those that were/are close to Sean.

I never met Sean, but I feel sad, and I don't even know why?

Why?

Exactly, thats how I feel... So sad with this things, and not only for Sean, whos the case this time, but for anyone who has to go through things like this and nobody knows them... Life can be so hard sometimes...

I dunno whats in everybody´s mind, lucky you that can read people minds, but as for me, I am AGAINST Killings, against anyone dying, and even criminals shouldnt be killed in any case.

Now, if you find Sean wrong in some things that he did in the past, whats the point? what does it have to do with having him dead??? thats not the point here, I dont find him a saint or anything like that, but Ive never wanted him dead and I feel sad with everything that happened.

I have tix to this weekends game but i just dont see how im going to go. The thought of being in that stadium...I just think i'd be a wreck - filled w/emotions. I dont think i can even watch the game this sunday much less go to the stadium...i cant imagine how the players feel and cant fathom how they will actually have to play in this game.

I woke up and at 6am when i first heard i cried...no lie. Basically have tears writing this. I had no idea i would feel this way but the Commanders are like family to me....born and raised a Commanders fan u grow to love your team like no other. U guys feel the same way toward the Cowboys. Its just an unexplainable devotion and love toward your beloved team. When something like this happens it is surreal and its like a family member dying...to be honest.

I looked at my Taylor jersey today and started tearing up...I dont know if i can ever wear it again. I just think i'd be emotional and feel terrible everytime i looked at it.

A good buddy of mine and diehard Commanders fan called me at 6:30am to see if i had heard.....we both basically fought off crying and could hear it in each others voice. It was a moment i will never forget. I told him i couldnt speak any more.

Situations like this make me realize how much I love the Commanders and how much everyone should value their life, loved ones and family members.

For what its worth...i'd like to see us win "21" - 0 against the Bills.

RIP SEAN TAYLOR.

Go to the game, RedskinNation. Every Commander player and fan NEED your support. I promise you, if you and whoever you go to the game with, will feel so much better if you DO go.

Don't let whoever took Sean's life take yours too!

Go to the game! It's your duty...it's your pride. Go to the game...

You need to go, if nothing else as a tribute to him and it will also begin the healing process for you.

I heard about this early this morning. And have been in speechless ever since. I am not Commander fan at all, but I am a football fan, and Sean Taylor was a great football player.

My condolences to his family, friends, and the Commander nation . . .

I saw it on ESPN.com early this morning, and my heart fell. My mind raced back to the last time that I saw him play. He was walking through the tunnel with his head down because he was injured. That was the last time he ever touched the field.

What a loss of life. God gave him special abilities that someone else took away. My prayers will sincerely be with his family. I also hope that the perpetrators of this crime are swiftly and decisively brought to justice. Events like this make us reflect on the daunting issues that our football players contend with on a day-to-day basis.
