I have tix to this weekends game but i just dont see how im going to go. The thought of being in that stadium...I just think i'd be a wreck - filled w/emotions. I dont think i can even watch the game this sunday much less go to the stadium...i cant imagine how the players feel and cant fathom how they will actually have to play in this game.

I woke up and at 6am when i first heard i cried...no lie. Basically have tears writing this. I had no idea i would feel this way but the Commanders are like family to me....born and raised a Commanders fan u grow to love your team like no other. U guys feel the same way toward the Cowboys. Its just an unexplainable devotion and love toward your beloved team. When something like this happens it is surreal and its like a family member dying...to be honest.

I looked at my Taylor jersey today and started tearing up...I dont know if i can ever wear it again. I just think i'd be emotional and feel terrible everytime i looked at it.

A good buddy of mine and diehard Commanders fan called me at 6:30am to see if i had heard.....we both basically fought off crying and could hear it in each others voice. It was a moment i will never forget. I told him i couldnt speak any more.

Situations like this make me realize how much I love the Commanders and how much everyone should value their life, loved ones and family members.

For what its worth...i'd like to see us win "21" - 0 against the Bills.

RIP SEAN TAYLOR.

If you don't go, you will regret it. This will be a historical moment and you wouldn't want to miss it

We're all human, none of us here are Angels. Everyone has had or will have their fair share of mistakes. It's ignorant to judge someone based on what you've heard. For me all media, and rivalry information means nothing in such an event. It's discomforting how ignorant some people are. Emotions of a loss such as this for someone's family has no boundaries.

Im sure you'll wear your jersey with pride once the time comes, and you've healed some emotional wounds. It has not been long since i lost a dear family member, who is truly missed and was truly missed this thanksgiving. It will always be painful to remember someone, but you can always be proud of their accomplishments. Keep your head up and if you can pull thru go to that game w/your jersey, it should be memorable, you might regret not going.

RIP Sean.

My prayers to his family, fans and the entire Commander nation.

Why because he has the nads to write what many are thinking but are too afraid to write?

His position is at least consistent.

Others here who have called Taylor every name in the book, thug, criminal are now acting like he was a saint.

Don't attack him because he has a different view than you.
Respect for the recently and/or dearly departed doesn't have to come with strings. Words can, have and will forever be used to ridicule the living, but they can also honor the dead without restrictions. There is no shame in honoring those who have passed on before us and fear is definitely not an issue.

Just heard the news, terrible loss at such a young age.... RIP Sean...my condolences to the Taylor family

Tragic... I thought he would pull out of it... just terrible.

RIP Sean Taylor.

I wish I could believe like you and others in after life and god...
In times like this, I only can ask myself why, why this things happen in life, and I dont have an answer, only a sad sad feeling and the feeling that we see how precious is life while we are here, and how we let it go away so easily at times...

But Sean and others that pass away are examples to us, we all need to learn from these guys, and how it makes me mad to see that in 2007 we already havent learnt from the sean taylor´s of the past... We´ll never learn :(
I wish I could believe like you and others in after life and god...

You're not alone. This about how I deal with it as well.

wow this is very suprising! last night before i went to sleep all i heard was he is getting stronger and to wake up to this makes you stop in your tracks very quick....

ESPN Outside the Lines just said the phone lines were cut at Taylors home. Add that to the breakin and knife left last week, this is looking like something more than a robbery attempt.

Saw that in a Washington Post story, too. They said it cost him several minutes in getting help, as dialing 911 from a cell phone is slower than via land line. (I did not know that.)

I also saw some story claiming that the police said his girlfriend knew who the killer was. Whether that means she just got a good look at him or knew him from before, I don't know.

But I do hope the police are able to piece this together accurately.

WoW, very interesting.

It's terribly sad for his family. Taylor had so much potential. I remember seeing him play in college against FSU his junior year and thinking he was an incredible player. I was sick when the Skins drafted him.

As for his death, it seems obvious there is a lot more to this story. Something Gibbs said last night caught my attention...he said he thought everything was taken care of with the previous break-in and he didn't know why Taylor would have returned to South Florida.

A buddy of mine is an attorney in the Miami area. He is also a UM grad and he knows Taylor's attorney. My friend told me Taylor associated with a lot of very bad people.

It's not about having "nads", it's about respecting the dead.

Agreed. There's a time and place for everything.
