Our last four 2nd round picks:

Marshawn Kneeland - injured
Luke Schoonmaker - dog house
Sam Williams - injured/suspended
Kelvin Joseph - out of the league

I said this when we drafted him. He's nothing special.

If you are not drafting a skill player who has skills, get a lineman. Even an average lineman can help you at some point.

Average tight-ends (which most are) do nothing but waste roster spots for 3-4 years until you draft another average tight-end to replace them.

yet another wasted second round pick. add that to the previous list of Smith, Williams, Joseph, McGovern, Connor Williams, Awuize, Gregory and so on..

the only one left is Diggs and I am not a fan of Diggs....a football player that doesn't like to tackle!!!

we sould just trade out of second round either to move up in draft in the first or additional mid round picks where we tend to be slightly better

That was a bad pick from the word go. Schoon was overdrafted by 1-2 rounds, then went into a position where he got no playing time behind Ferguson.

Spann-Ford can do everything he can do. Cut bait and give Schoon a second chance elsewhere.

All because of a run of TE, when that pick should have been on the OL. Just another long laundry lists of reasons why real football people needs to be running this show.

Other players are inconsistent and highly ineffective, but they get trotted out on the field every game. Play Schoon, coach him up, and get his confidence up.

He’s too inconsistent to start over Ferguson? What consistency do you want him to get for 3 snaps?

Jake Ferguson has regressed .
I don't see that at all. The catches he makes and his running after the catch are easily as strong as ever. He had some injury problems early on, and the overall offense (Dak & O-Line) has regressed, and that is the reason he has been a little less noticeable. He is actually averaging more yards per game than last year.

I loved Schultz and still do, but he was not worth the 15 mil he was insisting on. Are you aware that we offered him 12 mil/season and he turned it down?
..yeah, I remember now. But I have to say, Dak and him had good connection.

I can’t even remember a first and second round pick in the same draft for the Cowboys worse than Mazi and Schoonmaker.

He was in a run first offense. We covered all that a million times after the draft.
If he had 30 catches a year, for 5 years, then we might be able to say "K, run-first offense." The fact that he had one middling productive year in his 5 year super-senior career was a red flag
