Schultz to command top TE money

@Captain-Crash Crash

  • The Cowboys are:
    • 3rd in points scored
    • 3rd in passing yards
    • 5th in passing 1st downs
They've only had 1 game with all 5 intended starters playing the complete game.

Those rankings were built up before Tyron started missing games and our OL was playing well. Those rankings would be a lot lower the last six games. Over that period we’ve led the league in three and outs.

jimmy johnson, "dak sucks and need a perfect team around him"

sounds like he's calling him Trent Dilfer without the talent and has to have a better team than Trent did.

You must enjoy sounding like a 12-year-old. You could care less as long as you have a username and avatar to hide behind. You’re a waste of time!

oooh, insults because you can't refute my claims.

You actually think your claims are correct? You’re claiming Jimmy said Dak sucks and that he’s insinuating he’s Trent Dilfer. If that’s your read on Jimmy’s comments then you’re lost in your hatred for Dak.

My concern with Gregory is that he will turn 30 during the 2022 season.
- That's fine for 2022 but it's a concern on a long-term contract.
- Maybe his lack to wear and tear from only playing 46 of a possible 109 regular season games up to this point helps him play into his thirties but that's a gamble.
- If they give Gregory a significant contract, then they're probably not planning to keep DLaw after 2022.

OK.......would you tag Gregory at probably $18M + to avoid a long-term deal, yet keep him for another year???

a 12-year-old would resort to insulting when it couldn't refute someone's claims. enough said.

post some emoji too. lmao

A 12-year-old would put a ridiculous spin on someone’s comment. Your read on Jimmy’s comments about Dak are ridiculous! You’re claiming Jimmy is saying Dak sucks and that he’s Trent Dilfer. :lmao2:

smh, more emojis make you look like an adult. Trent Dilfer said dak can kiss his ring, cause he will never be getting one.

yep, it only matters when it ranks dak high?
I've consistently posted that PFF is crap with regards to player evaluations.

I make it a point to also post that in threads where their rankings are favorable to my opinion about players.

PFF does have some stats that have value.
- Some stats require game review to determine.
- QBs target locations for example.
- They categorize passing target locations into 6 areas.
- Short Right
- Short Middle
- Short Left
- Long Right
- Long Middle
- Long Left

That requires game review to determine and that's where PFF has value.

Grading players is far to subjective and requires far more expertise than just categorizing location of passing targets.
- There are 32 teams
- There are approximately 140 snaps per game on average not including special teams.
- There are 11 players on the field per team.

It comes out to about 400 man hours per week if the minimum reasonable time is spent grading all 11 players for each team on all snaps.
- They're not paying ex NFL or ex college coaches to 'grade film'.
- I've posted a job req from PFF here in the past.
- They require zero football experience for their 'film graders'.
- Somebody that posted here in the past worked for PFF as a film grader.

Only a 12 year old would be bothered by the use of emojis. Not wasting anymore time with you.

about time, since you have no counter to dak isn't up to Trent Dilfer caliber. Trent has something dak will never get.

Stop trying to hijack the thread using it for your Dak hate. Trent Dilfer has something Dan Marino and Dan Fouts don’t have. Back to Dalton Schultz.

He is not worth that money, he can't even block and he has had some seriously bad plays. I'd much rather keep Jarwin and draft a TE or pick up a cheaper FA.

I thought you were through. smh and take your own advice. Trent Dilfer said hey you want to see his ring.

Yeah, there’s no way I’m paying him like a Top 5 tight end.

I agree that I think he’s a benefactor of our receiving corp and scheme. I also think he makes a lot of boneheaded mistakes and is inconsistent as a blocker.

That said, I wouldn’t mind him back but it’s hot to be in the $7-9M per year realm.

Still leagues better than always-injured non-blocker Blake Jarwin.

Schultz is a role player and this teams 5th or 6th option.

He only gets the ball when the defense leaves him as an afterthought.

This comment would be better suited for someone like Amari Cooper than Schultz.
With that in mind, that’s why I firmly believe what’s the difference between him and Jarwin? Neither are system changers here and both share similar weaknesses.

being a 5th or 6th option here does not warrant top TE money.

I watch a lot of Dolphin games and Gesicki always impresses. Good hands.
