Brand new ownership as of 8/9/22. Walmart family now. Paton their GM has just been there year or so.


Again, don't know how you can make any judgment. New ownership, pretty new GM. Wilson trade might not have worked but it wasn't widely panned by experts/insiders when it happened.

Ummm….history does have a ton to do with it. Coaches like payton will not get into bed with poorly ran teams. The Walton’s have deep deep pockets and likely made a great impression on payton in the interview process. He can choose where he goes. If he didn’t have a relationship with Jerry I’d bet he never even think twice about a franchise like ours or the jets or the browns.

That stuff matters especially when you have a protege like parcells in your ears telling you to oick the job you go to carefully. The broncos play in a market with a great fan base which is why the Walton’s had interest in purchasing them. There’s a history of sound moves within the organization and resemblance of a sound structure in place.
