In a nutshell, you "buy" a Personal Seat License (PSL) per seat which gives you the right to then annually purchase season tickets for the associated seat. E.g., if you want 2 seats in Section 217, you have to pay 2 PSLs. The cost of the PSL varies by section location, but there are 2 classes of PSL's - Club and non-Club. The Club are goal-line to goal-line, are the most expensive, but carry with it some benefits not available to non-Club seats. You also can pay cash for the PSL, which I chose to do, or finance it. If I remember right, when the stadium opened the PSL was a 30-year term, not sure if purchased today from the Cowboys if it would still be 30 years or 21 years. If you acquire an individual's PSL, which can be done, it would be whatever term is remaining on their PSL. One other thing to think about is the PSL REQUIRES you to buy every Cowboys ticket offered - i.e., you cannot just decide not to pay for the Season Tickets one year - you forfeit your PSL in that case. Same with Playoff tickets - you don't buy and pay for a playoff ticket and you forfeit your Seat License.
Hope that helps. I know I didn't include anything about costs, but that's available on the Cowboys website You can also see what individual's are listing their PSLs for.
Playoff tickets are optional.
You can pay for the tickets and any unused tickets, the money can be applied to your next years tickets or you can get a refund.
Or they have a “pay as they play” options, meaning if there is a playoff game, once scheduled you are charged that price.
Or you can choose not to buy the tickets and they go on sell to the public after a certain time. But you have until around mid December if I remember correctly to decide on that or else you lose the right to buy them.
