I'm leaning 75% sell the the house. The question, since I put so much effort into working wth my wife to find common ground ... Would it be fair to ask to make her wind down the sale and cleaning out the house? If I move I'm not taking a stick of furniture with me ... just my personal stuff. The reason I ask is that I was hoping never to move again, so I'm not in the mood to do all that work.

Another point ... within a week or so her world is about to come crashing down. My wife has never has to deal much conflict or loss in life. She has not even had anyone close to her who passed away...

The last think I did was plead for her to to marriage counselling ($50/hr counselling, $300.hr lawyer) ... that the part that sucks she'd would rather break me some financially...

Welp I haven't been thru a divorce myself, but I wish you the best. Don't keep it pent up, post here and hang out with us more if you have to.

Take it out on Garrett and Jerry! I kid of course, god speed brother.
Why would you kid about something as serious as taking it out on Booger and Garrett? That's their purpose but that won't bother Garrett, he'll just keep on clapping. He'd probably stand in front of the judge as his own divorce clapping and butt slapping the bailiff.

I decided I'm going to sell the house...too many painful memories...I decided to move to this small town and rent an apartment. The lawyer I hired specializes in mediation...I'm hoping she can get an agreement quickly...with the proceeds from the house I am going to replace my aging vehicle with a Nissan Rogue (feel like spoiling myself), put some money away for a 2-3 week trip to the Canadian Rockies and Prince Rupert, BC...I have to get this house sold and into my own place. I do not want her to ever see the inside. The more I think about it...she played me like the biggest fool.

You'll like the Rogue. Back in September I bought a 2016, and it's a lot of fun for a little car.

Hey lukin, the best time to buy a vehicle is when the newest models come out. That instantly puts what you're looking at in a year older category and automatically drops in value. You probably only have to wait until September of this year if you can hold out for some good savings.

Last night my brother in law dropped by for a visit and a coffee ... he is married to my wife's twin ... I told him last week we were getting a divorce. He told me my wife has never said 1 word about getting divorced to her sister ... that seems odd, especially for a twin.

That does seem peculiar, as if she has a reason to be ashamed.

I find it strange ... either ashamed or unsure of her decision??
I suppose it's possible she didn't say anything just in case she changes her mind, but all the evidence you've presented thus far would strenuously suggest otherwise. If I were in your shoes, I'd try to avoid even entertaining that notion.

Let me put it this way: If she has doubts at all, she'll voice them to you, once it dawns on her exactly how much she stands to lose. But I wouldn't count on it. Until then, stay strong and proud!
