Sometimes more is less. No one wants to read a novel on a fan board.

I'm glad you've finally accepted the FAKE NEWS though.
Here is this short enough for you next time you say that Jerry S trying to pay the cheapest salary in the NFL for head coaches you'd see he's at 15 in 2024 Jerry Jones paid Mike McCarthy the 15th overall salary which would make him in the middle right so there are 16 other teams I believe or is it 17 a lot of these are ties so give or take that are paying less but I find that ironic that the two head coaches in the NFC East Washington and Philly both pay about the same amount of money that Mike McCarthy got and yet Jerry's being called out for being cheap and yet here are facts that says he may not be paying top money and by the way again look at some of those salaries at the top and are those guys doing any more than Mike McCarthy did for his salary even though they make a lot more it doesn't make em better it just makes them more highly paid..:oldcouple:.FACTS

Yeah I don't think those numbers are correct. One result from a quick search on Stefanski alone said 6.75 million.
I believe they probably vary because some get bonuses or some years they're making a little more money depending on the contract language but here's a list this was from 2024 and it's pretty accurate this still shows that Jerry Jones is paying his head coach in the middle tied for 15th that means there's a lot more teams that are paying less and you're saying that we should overpay like say guys who are not doing as much as Mike McCarthy did over a three-year stretch before he was let go he won those 36 games two division titles went to the playoffs three straight years he's making half of what the Seattle Seahawks coach is making but the Seattle Seahawks team is not doing better so we should pay more for the same or less production I don't understand you guys you just want Jerry to pay more even if he's not getting more because paying the highest salaries to some of the bigger name head coaches are not getting more I'm watching them also fail in the same fashion as Mike McCarthy I mean we all know that Mike tomlin's a great coach but he makes $16,000,000 he's lost seven straight playoff games how is he truly any better how does he deserve to be paid that much more maybe Jerry's got it right he's paying fair market value and he's basically getting what he's paying for a lot of these other coaches are being overpaid..

I'm aware, and the difference between 16th and 32nd is about a million. It's not a huge gap.

Jerry will always sit around middle of the pack towards the bottom, because again he's CHEAP. He doesn't value the position. Guys like Ben Johnson were never an option for financial reasons alone.

Why do you think MM left? It was reportedly over length of contract, which is $$$. There's no cap ramifications so if Jerry truly wanted Mike he should've just given him the extra years.

It makes me sick people like you try to justify this owners action.

Don't stop ignoring the fact you wrote another novel telling everyone how Schottenheimer was "fake news," and we were all so gullible.

No you said the cheapest, you said cheap you said trying to pay the cheapest, and I don't care if there's a million or 2 gap the list is clear he paid Mike McCarthy the 15th that is not last that is not the cheapest let's be clear you're trying to split errors you're trying keep your narrative active and your narrative is wrong..

Jerry doesn't pay the cheapest salary he and he usually pays his assistance even more..

I mean right now if it's accurate Dan Quinn only makes $4.5 million and nick siriani makes 5 million , Daboll 5mil, those are in the same division and Mike McCarthy was making 4.5 million or around 4 million what's the difference???

that's pretty much paying on average what most teams are paying if you're saying from 15 to 32 are not too many millions apart then that pretty much is the norm we're the ones above that are anomalies and some of those overpaid coaches are not living up to their contract so you rather have Jerry overpay for the same production just because it would make you feel better that's what it feels like it feels like those guys who are being paid like Mike Tomlin$16,000,000 and not doing any better than a $4.5 million Mike McCarthy I just really wanna understand your concept you wanna spend Jerry's money to get the same production or lack thereof in the playoffs...

Mike brought him here as Mike broke into coaching working for Marty. Mike was repaying the favor and hired him.
Friends and family it’s the Jerry way, everyone remember Nolan a bf of MM. it’s the way it works in Jerry world

The issue is the richest franchise in sports continues to be among the lowest in the league.

The issue is Jerry lets these guys coach all on expiring deals

The issue is the Cowboys were 14th in cash spending on the roster this year despite two mega extensions including the highest AAV of all time in Dak....In the last decade they've been 30th or worse 4 times.

The issue is we once again are talking about 2nd/3rd tier guys as candidates for HC

The issue is we have players complaining about a lack of support staff in Dallas

Are we are supposed to cheer Jerry because he paid McCarthy 500k more than the Browns paid Kevin Stefanski? If fan expectations are that low I really don't know what to say.

A lot of it is the money, but I would agree if there was legitimate rational behind hiring Schottenheimer I wouldn't be against it. Honestly I think he is a pretty well respected coach around the league, and I don't hate the guy. With that said though this hire just reeks of compliance and more of the same.

Only Dave Campo has an argument.
At least Campo was a good D coach (DB if I’m not mistaken)…..but Schottenheimer wasn’t even good at coaching O…..dude is just weak sauce in all areas.

My guess is Jerry screwed the pooch by waiting so long to talk to Mike and missed his chance to video interview the top two guys. They both quickly signed with teams who had already talked to them. Jerry probably already knew they were going to want some say and money like Mike wanted. He video interviewed Moore and either realized the kid isn’t ready or realized he wasn’t going to leave for peanuts.

Hiring a head coach away from a coordinator position in Washington or Philly would have made way too much sense.
So now Jerry will hire someone already in house, after letting Bones walk. Go Cowboys!

Jerry didnt want them. It was always going to be someone he knows who will accept his stipulations and meddling and low-balling.

If this happens I am officially done. I won’t waste my time. My buddy switched to the Bills a couple years ago. I thought he was full of it. Guy is loving it. He was at the game this week. I am the sap. Life is too short.

I mean,
Mountaineer already covered this pretty well in his previous thread about Schott.

Just wow.
About as truly dysfunctional as a team can get at this point.

I'll go ahead and say 6-11 or 7-10 again.

My gosh this team is spiraling further downward by the day.
And Dak with career ending injury by game 6

What if Schotty is a smokescreen and they’re setting up a staff for Pete Carroll? Schotty was the OC under him for 4 seasons in SEA.
