Just depends.... we all know we WOULD have won 4 or 5 superbowls in the last 6 or 7 years if not for one thing: the refs.

If they don't make a point to throw a flag every time we commit a penalty, and just let us play, then the best team will win....which is us....just like it has been for the last 7 years.
The one thing we can count on is Dak Prescott owning the Eagles.

Keep trolling @CowboysLakerBamaFan we all see you. Make sure to keep the same energy when we hand you an L November 5th.

We are officially one week from watching a Cowboys game! I am more hyped about this year’s team than any team I can remember beyond 1995. Part of that is our roster, and part of that is the lack of NFC rosters around us.

If you had to bet today, how far you think this team goes (assuming no injuries)?

I’m saying MINIMUM NFC Championship!

NOTE: If you are currently responding with ‘we need to wait and see…’ or ‘You can’t assume no injuries….’, pop a cold one, let that hair down, get out of your own head, and burp up an answer!

It’s time for football! Go Cowboys!!

Playoffs is a given in my mind. My concern is always what Vegas thinks of our team and that is not very highly... We are picked to finish 2nd in the East and have the 6th best shot at the SB. Things change as we get closer but basically the thinking is that we haven't gotten any better in the off season. I'm setting the bar low and hope we win a playoff game but I think we lose the NFC Champ game against the 9ers.

I'm just gonna step in here...both pappy and mountain supported Dak when he started off very nicely...I think it was two years ago? They complimented him and cheered him on. Sorry I can't remember the exact time frame and pull up the posts.

So they HAVE had hope and support he succeeds. He just hasn't followed through as they see it. It's not that he played exquisitely through the losses. He's been part of the reason we lost.

Please note I *DID* say "part"...mkay..so don't start no shoot.
Absolutely not true.

Best team since the 90's. However the Oline is very thin and vulnerable. It could be a huge problem. RB is thin as well.

Sitting here today I cant say we are better than the Niners or Eagles. So to me that still remains the problem.

Cowboys are good but they are just one of 5 or 6 teams that are contenders.

And we dont know that MM will look like calling plays and of that whole thing will work out.
Can’t believe the cowboys feel good about this line. I hope the depth pans out because I predict at least 1 injury

Part is the key word, but they put ALL the blame on him. They have no idea what team sports are all about.

That’s el torro poo poo! First off we were at the ranch when Dak first came out so I’m not sure where you are getting that from

I’ve been here off and on since 06 maybe 05 but not here enough until the ranch shut down to definitely know but since being a regularly here papsmear and mountaineer has had 0 support for the QB

Papsmear was a Romo guy somewhat and mountain was pumping will Grier .

They are the 2 biggest trolls on the site hands down and they don’t believe he’s PART of the reason they believe he IS the reason for failure and they do nothing but push that narrative

Another one of Jerrys monster blunders. Along with his kicker brain fart. Thin at RB too. All problems that could have easily been solved.

Jerry loves fans like the OP.... It's also the reason why the rest of the NFL thinks Dallas has the worst fans. Every year is THE YEAR.

In case you forgot, Jerry is only interested in being relevant and interesting. Dominating the NFL isn't on his list of priorities.

Is it too much to simply allow fans to have their own opinions without telling them to find another team when their opinion doesn't align with yours? At least you didn't throw out an insult, which is usually the norm by some.

You want to wave the pom-poms non stop? Cool, you be you. I will never try to convince you or anyone else like you to change your mind. But don't pressure me, or anyone else like me, to be like you or call me/us any less of a fan when I/we don't think like you.
Exactly

I am just glad football is back. And do as I always do. Go into the season to enjoy each game as the season unfolds.

I do not look for any reason to hate on the team, the players, the FO, the coaches. It is football time and if any one wants to whine and complain over any of that or the past X amount of years is on them. Oh, yes, I will have my time to complain at times, like after a frustrating loss. Then I move on to the next game. Unless it completely falls apart such as it did with Wade. That start of the season was far more frustrating than the 1988 and 1989 seasons combined.

Just enjoy the season, as we fans can't control anything on how to shape the team anyway. Be a fan that you say you are, and root for the best, no matter how much you dislike a player or the FO.

Waiting for someone to say ... don't tell me how to fan ... by saying to root for all to be good .... :muttley:

I usually don't try to answer for other people, but in this case I'll take a stab: if they're like me, when I complain or get negative like this, it's out of frustration over 30 years of mediocrity.

The complaining should be seen as a call for change in order to make our favorite team a true contender. I think that's what gets missed by the eternal 'optimists': in order to fix what's broken, you have to acknowedge what's wrong. If you can't handle the honest, unflattering appraisal of the situation, you stand little chance of understanding what needs to change to correct it.
Excellent post.

Serious question. Since it’s hopeless in your opinion why not find a new team or new hobby?
Or-
In some way do you think you like the misery and won’t let it end because a big part of you loves to complain about the team and discourage other fans from enjoying the past time of following the Cowboys?
Serious question. What business is it of yours how he behaves as a fan? Does it truly impact your life? If not, then why try to gaslight someone as to the motives you believe are behind it?
