People feel better about the RB position now that their fears have been eased since the trade, so it's on to another target. If they cut Dunbar, had Trent Williams as the swing tackle and Rodgers as the b/u QB they would move right on to FS or 1T. If this team had 53 All-Pros they would complain because they win too easy. It's just the way it is.

Well if we win too easy, how can we expected to win a close game when it matters

has anyone used a RBBC of 4 in the past? this seems cray cray. might as well get monte ball and ray rice in while they are at it and make it 6. haha

can you imagine a fresh rotation of 5 to 6 RBs? with the way this is going i can.

These things tend to sort themselves out. I'm just glad they have a fuller spectrum of talent and skill-sets to choose from.

I really doubt 4 guys will be rotating, and maybe not even 3 once the dust settles.

The Pats did spread out the carries between 4 RBs last year, but Blount arrived late and pretty much took over along with scatback Vareen.

Needs to familiarize himself with offense first. Linehan is running Garrett's offense, not quite the same as he ran in Detroit. Moore will push Weeden. Heck if Vaughan was pushing Weeden, then it really doesn't take much.

Makes sense. I just hope that in any case Romo goes down (hope to God he doesn't,) that Kellen will be ready and Garrett will take the risk. For some reason I feel like Weeden is looked at as the "safe guy" to put in when QB1 goes down, but I think he's a bigger risk than a prepared Kellen. But I do understand that he needs to get caught up on the offense first. Hopefully it's just a short term thing and he can take over as QB2 soon enough.

IMO, Cowboys should replace Weeden with Tebow until Moore is ready. Tebow with no accuracy and without a clue about this offense is more likely to come in and win a game then a fully prepared Weeden. Tebow is just a football player, but more importantly he is a winner. Feel same about Moore.

If not Tebow, then replace McCray with Showers and use Weeden's spot for a true big play threat at returner. Showers can be emergency QB until Moore is up to speed in addition to helping on ST. Weeden as backup QB is an illusion. Useless.

Lo
JAGbar is officially obsolete.

The two load carriers will eventually be DMC and Michael. Randle is that perfect hybrid change of pace 3rd down back that could also carry the load in limited capacity. They don't need JAGbar. My suspicion is they will hold onto him until they're sure about their new rbbc. There's also the very real possibility of DMC blowing a tire after 6 games or so. That's the only line of thought I can imagine would compel them to stay this course for an extended period of time.

JAGbar is a fortunate dude.
Lol. You sound like Jim Rome .... JAGbar.

We haven't played one real game yet this year but we know "the way this is going"?

People need to calm down a little and see how things shake out.

Dunbar IS productive in 1 key area: catching passes. Averaged 12 yds/reception last year, easily the best among our RB trio.

True.

At least the armchair GM folks have moved on from dumping Beasley and replacing Romo with RGIII or Sanchez or Manziel etc etc

Sounds reasonable that a 3rd or 4th string RB can be used occasionally for something he is good at. Not sure what people want.

This is just insane.

Dunbar has been a productive player for us? Doing what exactly?

I suspect Dunbar is a RKG, and tries really hard, and is ready to do whatever they ask of him, no complaining or problems.
Plus even though he hasnt played much he has made some good plays when in the game.
So the coaches and JG may just like the guy so he gets favorable treatment from them.

JG wont let him go till he has to.

RBBC is theory until practiced and proven over time. Last season TC, coaches were excited about incorporating Dunbar as major weapon in revamped offense. Mentioned it ad nauseum. Never happened. And early last season Jerry insisted that Murray will not continue to get as many touches so expect to see more of Randle and Dunbar. Kept saying this even after coaches were lauding Murray. Again, never happened. Like cream rises to the top, one of these backs will carry a majority of the load. At least one of the four will be relegated to just watching from sidelines, again.

I just don't get why they keep Dunbar on the roster when it's clear they don't know what to do with him come game day. Maybe he'll be more involved this season but I don't see it.

true but last season it was the murray show, and randle and dunbar hardly got on the field .
So now M is gone, so both will see more action.

The 49ers in 1981 had a committee of Lenvil Elliott, Ricky Patton, Bill Ring and Earl Cooper at RB.

Can't just wait for your opportunity, you have to reach out and grab it by the throat, then not let go as if your life depended on it.
