Should have drafted defense instead of Escobar, Randle, T-Will, Street

All four of these players are JAGS to Average players. They are found on every team in this league. Escobar might have something but he was not worth a 2nd round pick when you have the Tony-Witten bromance going for another 5+ years. Randle is dime a dozen. I've seen several UDFAs out play Street. There are a dozen plus #2 receivers better than T-Will. This team should have been investing in the defense in these spots in the drafts to prevent the situation we are in today. I'm not saying we would hit on all the picks but it would be better than doing nothing. Now we are stuck with almost half a dozen plus holes on the defense and I have to hear from Garrett how the process will not be complete until we have players at every position. It's sickening...

I think they are pretty good players but if you're depending on this passing scheme to get guys the ball then don't get your hopes up.

We don't even do a good job of getting our Star WR the ball. No creativity at all.

Physically, all of those players you named are probably pretty good.

Our scheme makes it harder for players to succeed. its the main reason i want Garrett fired..i just want a new offense man

if that's the case then we need to scrap garrett's playbook.

I agree, on one replay (I think the pass to TWill that was intercepted) I couldn't believe that we had no crossing routes at all.

Scrubs on offense are easier to hide than ones on defense.

Out of all the player mentioned, Escobar pick is the biggest head scratcher. If there was this plan to run more where the TEs are blocking more than catching passes, you don't use 2nd round pick to get him.

It's Bennett all over again. I'm confident Escobar is a good player, but we're never gonna see it in Dallas unless Witten retires.

Doubtful you would have ended up with more than one impact player on a redraft for any of those guys. The Claiborne trade on the other hand.

I'm not even questioning Escobar's abilities. I just question why pick a pass catching TE that is not a good blocker with a 2nd round pick when we supposedly wanted to run more and use the TEs as blockers than pass catchers.

The team doesn't have a long term vision. Everybody sees how erratic Jerry is in interviews. That's how he is with the team as well. Like @PoundTheRock said, they change plans every offseason. One year Jerry wants a dline like dem Giants...then the next year he says he would luhhhh to have some linebackers like dem Niners....then he wants the 4-3 like Seattle....then he wants Tony to be more like Peyton....then he wants Jason to no longer have playcaller duties....the identity/vision is constantly changing around here and the scouts (bless their hearts) have to be pulling their hair out b/c they don't know what to recommend in the draft b/c of it.

Exactly my point. Some people here believe JG and Jerry has this grand plan. We all just need to wait 8 years to see it all come to fruition while you have guys like Chip Kelly, Harbaugh brothers, and Bruce Arians doing more in less time.

All JG has done is try to copy others. First it was the Partriots Now it's the 49ners/Seattle. Next year it'll probably be the EaGirls offense.

Now this I agree with... WE are currently lacking studs on defense. I want another edge QB hunter on the D line and a top corner to pair with Scandrick.
