What is wrong with you people he took a hit that would have anyone out for the game yet you all act like he should have somehow dealt with it. Get real people

It's not a question of whether he should retire, it's a lot of money, and i'm sure he wants it.
The question is can he stay upright and for how long.
The hits during the regular season will get nastier with each week.
It's going to be a long unstable road as far as health goes.

If he can stay on the field, no. If he can't, then yes. I'm not going to judge it by last night as it seems he is likely fine.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Of course not.

But a couple more incidents like last night, I bet some thought goes through his head.

Hey I'm not disagreeing with you. But if Romo does go down, we need to roll with Dak. Is there a FA QB out there that would be any better? IMO, no.....
Oh yes, if romo goes down, definitely start dak. My comment was for the dak fan boys who are looking for any reason to bench romo now for him.

If romo goes down, the season is most likely, baring miracle, over and a 2015 repeat

A lot of people are probably wondering this. Personally I think he should, he's taken too many shots, and I think he should seriously consider it. I'm tired of seeing him getting laid out. bash away

Not yet.

No, he's much too valuable on the sidelines.

I think this situation will take a natural course. We've waited this long. At least we appear to have a solution in waiting.

We no longer have to be afraid of the post Romo era.

No but he should consider not running for it in a meaningless game that could have turned out to have real meaning. It's preseason, use his head, not his feet and throw the ball away. I realize some of that is instinctive but a 36 year old QB with a problematic back should use his head and hands, not his feet. What he did last night was exactly why I don't think he plays in all 16. And that uncanny pocket presence he's always had was not present last night. And I wonder if his attempt, and that's what it was, I turn over in bed faster than he can run, was because he's feeling the heat for the first time in his career?

His attempts to get back in spoke volumes to me about him feeling the footsteps of this kid behind him as Romo knows at one time he was those footsteps and once he got that job never gave it back.

I'm not wondering this and no he shouldn't "just retire"... It's really a silly question.

one of the toughest players in the league and this is the umpteenth time i have seen one of the fans on this site call him a china doll or made of glass.

So sad. Ten years of qb play and taking every hit and getting up and this is how fans treat him towards the end of his career.

These I imagine are the same people that booed Troy Aikman at the end also.

Selfish fans who lack appreciation and understanding. I also assume the same people who have doubted him since day one will now be using this to attack him also.

Sorry group of fans.
:clap:You are absolutely correct, sir. That group is not that large, but they are absolutely ignorant and pathetic.

I don't think there's really a "bunch" of chicken littles/Romo haters out there, it's just that those who do exist are very vocal, making it seem like there are more of them that there actually are.
This. Isn't that always the truth? :)

Fill in the blank please. Romo has given his mind body and soul for this team.
