i thought about this earlier today. I don't see it happening but i would not blame him if he suddenly hung the cleats up at the end of the year.

Romo just led the NFL in passer rating, Comp %, and yards per attempt....and has led the team to 16 wins in the last 20 games that he started.
He's getting hit less now than in the past.
No way he's retiring with the team they are finally building.

Assuming he's back after 8 games, it's truly not out of the question that Dallas ends up playing in the Super Bowl this year.

The good thing is that these are not concussions. Yes, he's been beaten up, and many FB players need joint replacements later on, but so do many others who just have non-traumatic arthritis.

He'll keep playing as long as he can, and as long he doesn't jeopardize his potential for grandparenting (which is a joy no one should miss).

I would take a broken collar bone for $20 million per year....
Every dollar is hard to earn in this life. I would be one of those guys that they have to cut...

Romo has a future in broadcasting if he wants it. Or maybe coaching.....But I really hope that's after his superbowls.

Tony has taken a beating over his career; not David Carr bad, but bad.

He has had two broken collar bones, broken ribs, cracked vertebrae, ruptured disks, punctured lungs, Brittany Spears crabs and forced to have Free Reign on his iPod so please his line.

The question is at what point does all this become less important than the quality of life? He is really going to suffer as he gets older.

You ask that question like we as fans should care about his life after football...

I would bet if they offered to double his contract to retire - he wouldn't.

His story is not complete.

He wont but I wouldn't be surprised if his wife wanted him to. He has a very fragile body.

The collar bone will probably be fine long term. I bet he has back problems for life though. Hopefully that's all he has to deal with, he hasn't had concussions as bad as most. That's what will keep you from knowing your grandkids.

I'm wondering if Romo is becoming Fragile. Romo lovers chill out.. I'm saying is he taking hits that a younger QB would shake off but to him is like being shot..

Is there still a hold out group that aren't "Romo lovers" amongst Cowboy Nation? That shot breaks any qbs clavicle. He Shook off cheapshots fine last week. Last season coming off two back surgeries I'm sure just getting out of bed hurt, mad it would anyone.
