We need to stop trying to replace players on offense and add some better players on defense. The Cowboys had the 7th ranked offense last season and the 19th ranked defense but since the season ended most seem to want to blowup the offense. Most couldn't wait for Murray to walk despite him being arguably the teams MVP last season. We've seen several threads wanting to replace TWill who's made some big plays for the Cowboys and caught 8 TD's last season. He made one of the best catches of the 2014 season for the Cowboys vs Seattle in a critical situation. This fan base is so out of whack some are ready to move on from Dez with a receiver in the draft.

Which we missed when Robinson left and too many people still take it for granted. We now have both Witten and Williams who are great improvisers.

And when did we start giving up on WRs in their second year? Dez Bryant, a vastly more talented WR, didn't go off until the second half of the 2012 season. Can we at least let Williams develop some more?

of course not. the IGS needs fed RIGHT NOW.

But they can easily be replaced!!!

I think this year is a year too early to replace him. His contract expires after the 2016 season and he's unlikely to receive a contract unless it's team friendly. Unless a WR drops early in the draft, I think you play out this year and see what Street can do, then look to replace him next draft with a 1-3 Rd pick if it's still necessary. Unless Jalen Strong is there at 27. If he's there at 27, I could really get behind that pick despite other needs.

Correct. Replacing Harris is whats needed and Street needs to show something.

I like Williams but would not hesitate to draft a WR in the first if BPA. We could have 3 good receivers, a possible seasoned replacement if the Dez situation doesn't work out, or William's replacement if he leaves in FA after next year.

Why? Williams numbers are almost identical to Dez first two yrs in the NFL. What is Williams supposed to produce with Dez Witten and the best rushing attack in the NFL in front of him?

The guy had 8tds in the reg season and added 3 more in the playoffs.

Because you should always be looking to upgrade every position every day, no matter who it is. If you aren't, you're not trying to win

He was clutch against Seattle late in the 4th with his tippy-toe catch. In my mind, that was the game that energized this team towards making its playoff run.

Agree. Big time catch that kept the momentum going.

Also he had 8 TD's up 3 from 2013 ( 5) and he seems to have good chemistry with Romo in getting to open spaces when the designed play breaks down.

Took a look at Alvin Harpers stats. His career high in one season # of TD's was 8. Other years he had 5,4,1 while catching around 30 balls a year.

Harper was deemed to be a good compliment to Irvin, the same way I see Williams being to Dez in a " harper like role"

One of the best catches of the year was by TW dragging his toes. The run game saw an increase in attempts so of course the attempted passes went down. TW is an amazing WR. Why would you get rid of him?

Terrance Williams has been decent but I wish we could get a proven veteran like Greg Jennings or Reggie Wayne as the #2 WR. Either of them next to Dez would be great

They might get 12 TDs instead of 11 TDs for 10x the cost

If you listen to some here it would be no problem replacing any of our skill position players. In the past 3 years many have wanted to dump Romo, Murray, TWill, Dez and Witten because they all think players of that caliber grow on trees. Love the FAN who said we don't need to pay Dez with a deep WR crop we could replace him with a receiver in the 3rd or 4th round. o_O The Cowboys had a championship caliber offense last season that ranked ahead of Seattle and NE but many want to trade or dump the teams best offensive players. This is one strange group we have assembled here.

should keep him, this a pretty weak draft overall, regardless of what the draft fans say

He is a solid #2 receiver. Didn't he have double digit TD's last year? If not, close to it? What more do you want from your #2 on a run heavy offense? I can see if he stunk up the joint, but he was far from that. Give the kid a break.

I don't agree with this. I think it's week at the top but from rounds 2 through 4/5, there are a lot of pretty decent players.

when you had so many weapons on the squad, a number 2 receiver is a misnomer when comparing to most other teams. Dez, Witten, Williams, Murray, Beasley, Esobar, Dunbar, etc. Only so many plays, especially when they ran the ball 500+ times. Williams was 2nd in receiving TDs and 1st in yards/catch. He did disappear a bit towards the middle of the season but started and finished the season strong - I like him

I would base his low numbers on the Cowboys depending so heavily on the run game last year.

I like him as a receiver but I wouldn't hesitate on upgrading the position.

He was also playing hurt in the middle of the year. I'd look to upgrade the positionlikemi would any other position if the right opportunity presented itself. But it isn't a huge priority to me.
