SI: "His absence could wound this club more deeply than it realizes."

Exactly.

Further, why would anyone believe you can replace him easily? Or would want to change up a design which caused Romo to have one of his better seasons?

Because plenty think it's a plug and play position. Except the HC, the QB, the Oline and the FO thank god.

I agree with most of what you said. They built the team that is SUCCESSFULL. All the offensive pieces are there. Sure you could always tweak a thing or two, but in my eye's they built it their way. Isn't the way you wrote it what every team is trying to accomplish?

Yup and the way they want to build it is with inexpensive RBs. I agree with that.

Because I would like the team to have a defense too, and regardless of how irreplaceable some might think Murray is the fact of the matter is we can probably still get excellent production from the position at a fraction of the cost through a combination of the draft or 2nd tier FAs, leaving us more money to throw at the DL. Plus a draft pick leaves us set up for the future too, as opposed to holding our breath every season hoping Murray's wheels don't start coming off.

I understand the issues with his fumbles and injuries in the past, but I feel like you gotta just focus on re-signing him. His presence seemed to make a noticeable positive difference with our offense. I'm of the mindset you re-sign him and Dez, (if possible) take what you can get in free agency and then focus on building up the D through the draft. Buttttttt, that's just me.....

Its def not a plug and play, but Dallas could find a RB this yr in the draft. Gurley, Gordon, Ajayi, Duke Johnson, Cobb, David Johnson, Allen are all bigger complete backs who are experienced in the things Dallas does with its RBs

He was about our best defender last year by keeping the offense on the field. I don't want to go through that again, but he will be a help either way.

I like MURRAY but this was the first season he was healthy. I don't liek it or trust it. If it was a fair deal for us Id welcome him back but if it's over 7.5 a year. I and just like others won't be happy.

I really don't care to have him back at any price.

If he takes 4-5. Then it's whatever. Overall he can walk and I really don't feel like it would hurt us. Not with this O-Line.

Yeah he broke records, but he's not a real special runner, or elite athlete.

Unless Murray is going to play for a little over half of what he wants he's not going to play in Dallas.

I don't want to over pay him either. But since A) I don't know what he wants. B) I don't know what they want to pay. C. I don't know what any one wants to pay. I won't make up reasons to ship him out.

I'm not discounting him, but the fact is that 1,023 of Murray's yards came before he was ever touched.

If that doesn't say offensive line, I don't know what does.
This is really the only stat that matters, and it constantly gets overlooked.

Your risking your other eye.:p

One doesn't mean the other suffers.

I'm not willing to gamble on probably after seeing what Dallas has currently on the roster that does work.

Its "mein big brain" not "meine". "meine" is the female version. You could say for instance "meine balls". ;-)

But nothingtheless "meine" does sound great.

Don't correct the man- he is ahead of our time.
A Van Gogh of message boards. Just wait til he sends WoodysGirl an ear...

I think it might be nice to have a defense whose best play in the playbook isn't called "Stand on the sidelines and root like heck for the offense" this year :)

I get you win now. I'm right there with you. I just don't see our offense as broken. I don't think AP is going to come any cheaper than Murray either.
Why not concentrate on what is broke? Our defense.

thank you my fiend. You half a way with words that i asprie to.

That's two of us. It's a sad day when Mincey gets caught saying, as long as that offense is on the field we can beat any body.
