SJ's Greatest Hits (His best stupid quotes)

Stephen “Birth Certificate” Jones has started this week once again revealing his arrogance, stupidity and lifelong sense of entitlement with his comments today about the team taking the off-season approach of being “selectively aggressive”. (Translation: 1. We don’t know what we’re doing and 2. We think the fans will “get over” their frustrations when we blow more smoke about what we “might do”.
absurd

they build through the draft. the cowboys philosophy. the cowboys are not going to spend their way to prosperity just because you're jealous of philadelphia.

“The biggest thing- with free agency, I just don’t think you can make a living there. That’s what we’ve always said. I think you’re overpaying in free agency most of the time.
He's not wrong

Remember Marco Rivera and the other defensive tackle they signed that year. You guys beloved, Bill Parcells, signed a lot a guys and only the one offensive lineman was worth the investment

The big offensive lineman from Arizona signed a big deal here and he was good for maybe two years

  • 2020: “Monday on 105.3, Stephen Jones says they were happy with the moves they made and that they were still “in the fight” to win the NFC East. (With a 3-7 record) The reaction among the Cowboys fans was basicall
Weren't they in it till the end? I felt that team could've made a run. Hell, some foolishly believed they would've made a run if they could've made it out of Seattle in 2006.

Jerry’s going to lead us to a Championship…sooner or later.”
check the where the cowboys record ranks amongst the lead since that quote.

Someone should ask him about that 2016 statement and why he sounds so different now. Now he air-quotes the drought and talks about how much success we've had lately.

"Of course," Jones responded. "I mean, I'm worried every day that we don't get a championship. You worry about that all the time. That's why we're very aggressive in trying to get there. It's just not acceptable in our minds that we haven't been able to win a championship in so long. I do worry about that. I worry about that all the time.

"I worry about that with older fans, that they finally say, 'We're done.' That's why we try to do everything we can to show respect to our fans, to do things that I think are good things that our fans think are good things for our team. But at the end of the day, as I said, it's all about the game and it's all about winning a championship, and we got to get that done."
Out of all his stupid quotes, this one always stuck with me as well over the years. I wonder if he even remembers that quote, he made. He's losing the new generation of fans born and raised in DFW the last 20 years if he hasn't lost them already. If he was scared of the old fans moving on, what did he think of the new fans that never got on board?

I knew secret sauce would be on the top before I clicked.

The secret sauce was pulling a geriatric Monte Kiffen out of Shady Acres Retirement Village and having him run the defense.

watching the desperate homers trying to defend the disaster that is the Dallas Cowboys so called efforts to win championships (which we know is a lie anyway) is somewhat amusing
