I actually think we'll have our hands full with their offense. I'm however salivating playing their defense after witnessing how we figured out the Ravens #1 D. Norman doesn't scare me. He anticipates well. Has pretty good technique but is vastly overrated imo. I'm more concerned about him causing fumbles than his pass coverage.

One big advantage that we have is we played at home against the Ravens and are at home on Thanksgiving. (obviously) The Skins on the other hand had a Sunday Night game in Green Bay, and are on the road. The NFL really screwed them with that schedule.
The skins were at home against green bay on Sunday night, so we're only talking about a difference of a few hours between when the Cowboys game ended and when their game ended. The skins do have to travel though, and in a short week, that is an advantage for us.

IMO Green Bay was the worst matchup for us. Especially on the road.

When we played Green Bay their defense wasn't dismantled with injuries either.

Bring on these Commanders. Vegas has us -7... There is a reason for that.
the packers' secondary was pretty much gutted at CB during our game against them. But I still understand your point.

I disagree. Yes the skins strength in pass defense but they are not strong vs the run. If Dallas can continue to keep the down and distance in their favor Cowboys should be able to get favorable matchups. Last game Dez vs Breeland was productive and Beasley also had a good game. Cowboys defense that is a concern with how Cousins has been playing and the addition of Kelley in their lineup at RB. I agree it will be a tough game but I don't think it is a poor matchup when you consider our big strength in the run game and that is the skins weakness.

Joe Barry made a big mistake thinking Breeland could man up on Dez in the first game. I think because Breeland had success in the past (first 2014 game comes to mind) vs Dez is why he took the gamble, and Dez had a field day against Breeland in that first game until Barry finally moved Norman over.

Both teams have so many weapons on offense. Going to come down to who makes the least mistakes.

Cowboys by 10+ book it. Why? Look at the teams Washington have played and how they have struggled. Those wins could easily be losses. You guys are really over rating this team they are not that good as there record indicates. Come tomorrow they are going to get punched in the mouth.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the argument you criticized when made against the Cowboys?

I think they thought Breeland was better than he is. He played well last year. Not so much this year

He had success against Dez, especially in the first 2014 game. Got torched by Dez in the 2014 finale though. So its not a gamble I would have taken myself.

Norman did not shadow Dez that game and Skins were roundly criticized. Won't happen tomorrow

Norman followed Dez a ton during that game. He was holding so badly that he nearly ripped Dez's jersey off. I think you are confusing Norman vs AB week 1. That's when the skins were criticized.

so I guess we just say that every week is the next test for the boys and leave it at that?

I agree it will come down to who makes the fewer mistakes. In terms of this being a particular bad matchup? I don't agree not when the skins are one of the worst run defense going up against the leagues best run offense. I think Zeke has come a long ways from where he was in week 2 and feel if Dallas is running the ball great in this game then it will open things up for the Cowboys passing attack. I should also say Dak has come a long ways since week 2 as well posting back to back 300 yard games.

I'm looking forward to the game and will be there at the game.

Yes, Vegas has a reason for that it's called trying to get equal money on Washington. It has nothing to do with what Vegas thinks of the relative strengths of the teams on the field.

Won't be a blow out. Yes Cousins did miss some targets.. and people fail to acknowledge Zeke and Dak being rookies. Zeke had ball control and fumbling issues not to mention his timing for letting plays develop was way off.

Dak was a game manager.

Both players are very different from where they were at in week 2.

That's nearly a wash.

Absolutely right.

The Giants, Eagles, and Commanders are our toughest opponents. We lost to one team, took us overtime and coin flip to beat another, and won by 4.

All tough games.

The Commanders game will be a statement game and the real test. Hope it isn't a trap game with the short turnaround :muttley::muttley::muttley:
Dallas will make those skins the turkeys !!

Skins are not the worst matchup. The worst matchups are teams like Seattle that have a good defense.

Because the BOTTOM LINE IS THIS. If Washington can't stop our run, they cannot win. Big Ben had a better passing day against us than Cousins has ever had and still lost. Because Pitt couldn't stop our run.

If you can't stop our run, we will control the ball, the TOP, and you will lose to us. It doesn't matter how many offense weapons you have.

I think we can break this down all day and guess all we want, but this is the Skins and this game could turn out a million different ways.

34-24, good guys.

Stopped reading at elite CB that can shutdown Dez. I've see him beaten by lesser caliber WRs this year. I think we control TOP and force them to stop Zeke and then hit them underneath with a steady dose of Witten and Beasley. Kinda like the last drive versus Baltimore.

Yes, but in our case I believe we can hang with anyone and we just might be the #1 team in the NFL if not top 3. Our schedule is what it is, we have no control of it. The Commanders on the other hand can't hang with the best in the NFL. They struggled with our common opponents and we smashed them.

I just rewatched the week 2 game and you're right. Norman was on Dez a lot, on both sides of the field. And the holding and contact was unreal. I guess Dez get the Cam Newton treatment since he's so big and physical. Dez seems to get away with pushoffs and CBs get away with holding him. Norman understands the refs let more go in regards to Dez, so Norman grabbed Dez all the time and didn't even pretend he was trying to just cover Dez. Hopefully Dez just mans up and beats him at his own game.
