Because the fist-pump factor is high. A lot of them also really make cool faces on the sidelines.

Diagree. Holmgren took GreenBay to the Superbowl twice and Seattle once. The man can coach. I live up in the Tacoma/Seattle area and watched Holmgren's Seahawks up close. The man can coach. I would welcome a HC with a winning resume like Holmgren.

Yep, Holmgren taking two different franchises to Superbowls is far more impressive than anything Cowher or Shannahan ever done. Ask Jimmy Johnson how easy that is. Or Bill Belichick. Or any coach who has coached in the NFL that isn't named Bill Parcells.

Cowher's greatest claim to fame is that he coached for a franchise that doesn't fire their coaches, giving him a unique 15 year window to finally win one. Any other franchise probably would have fired him after the 1999 season. Frankly, I really think Cowher without the Steelers organizational system behind him is going to be a huge bust at his next job ... particularly if he negotiates a lot of power to make the personnel and talent aquisition decisions.

Dallas has never had a minority HC.

Gruden would actually be a good fit for the skins. He likes veteran rosters.

And he doesn't know how to develop a quarterback, or even manage the ones he has. His Tampa tenure was downhill after the Super Bowl because of the quarterback position.
