It isn't just that the media is "10x more interested." My whole point is that they're resorting to fabrication. That's not overzealous reporting. That's lying.

Yes but does his "baggage" include the media blatantly making up information?? I don't know, if so okay... but if not, then they should be ashamed.

I don't think anyone deserves to have blatant lies reported about them no matter what they did in the past... simple first amendment defamation stuff.

now i agree the media should be ashamed for having to tout TO as the only story they can find. i agree it's stupid to dig into him when others have similiar issues and are NOT a story.

but put it all aside because it doesn't matter. this is TO - for better or worse and this is the media, for better or worse.

and we're the cowboys - add it all up and this is the story they'll have for the year. if it just starting is already causing this type of controversy among fans, buckle up cause it's gonna get worse before it gets better.

Everyone has heard what Parcells has had to say. Paraphrasing: I don't know the player. I have to trust the player. I want to see him on the field.

Interpreting that as calling TO out or questioning whether TO really has an injury is irresponsible reporting. Looks like a lie to me.

the one who sits out less gets run over the coals, the one who sits out more does not.

One thing to consider.

Steve Smith knows his QB, Team and Offense well enough to already have pro-bowl season last year with the same QB and Offensive system.

TO is learning a New offense with a New QB on a new Team.

So in that aspect it is a great deal different.

Bill has said that he wants TO to learn the offense.

I don't know if there's a true statement in that whole rant. OK BP does call TO the player, but he calls everybody that. He called keyshawn that yesterday. To use that information as evidence of a strained relationship is at best irresponsible.

BP is not reid. he has had these type of players in the past. he knows how to deal with them. if anything happens by she-said, he said kind of things. BP will sit down and talk with TO.

We will be fine this season. Its the next off season I am worried about.

Fair enough point, but to assume the media is running with this ball because of Owens' potential to not know the offense is giving them way too much credit.

They would be overcovering this even if he was in his second year. It is just T.O.

TO is a turd and the Media is an Outhouse waiting for TO IMO.

They deserve each other but even then the media still is full of it and stinks a little more.

Exactly how I feel.

TO brings the extra coverage on himself. The team has brought extra scrutiny on the relationship between Owens and his coach by signing the guy. He's a big story and the media is gonna cover it like a million blankets. But fabricating "facts" is NOT part of the deal. I'd have said the same thing last year.

well, i care! like it or not, he's our guy this year, and if he goes down, our creativity on offense goes with it.

with that in mind, i was ok w/ him missing practices until he returned back healthy, and i don't believe there is any hidden agenda.



blah...it doesn't matter now. i guess all we can do is wait for the next ridiculous 'non-story' TO story that will inevitaby come our way.
