Yup Dak has to do Zeke's job on offense too (since Zeke is usually a no show). And the D doesn't have to show up vs good teams (they rarely do anyways), 'cause Dak will do their job.

Yeah, much better for Dak never to make up for what other players lack.

He struggles a lot . Even against bad defenses . Remember the jets and bears games 2019 . He just does not have the ability to take advantage of defenses . He is not a difference maker that warrants 35 + mil .

Coaching blew the Jets game. Cobb was out, Gallup and Cooper were questionable, then Cooper bails after 3 snaps. That left Dak with a hurt and ineffective Gallup, Austin, and PS squad level players at WR. Facing all that injury and uncertainty at WR going into the game, they left Devin Smith inactive. Just dumb. And it cost us. The Jets game is *not* one to blame on Dak.

It's funny you think you're not the one who looks foolish.

Just man up and own your garbage.

Yes, in 2016, the Cowboys had more than Dak's rookie salary to deal with at QB. And yes, the cap was 155 million. If your point was just the former, that's fine. But, you had to go and add the latter. There was no reason for it. It doesn't support the other point. It would only serve to support an overall point of the Cowboys spending a lot on QB with a lower cap. Except it doesn't support that point at all.

Proportionally, 2016 is a MUCH greater better position to be in than 35-40 million would be today. It's much better than 31 million was last year.
Sigh...ok Kevin. I'll even give you a like since no one else will.

Those type of games are why coaching is important.

More than sometimes. Disagree he was way better reading defenses.

Interesting side note:

Check out the graphic shown at 1:36 of the video you posted.

Rushing yards: Cowboys 100, TFT, 255.

Wonder what the narrative would be if #4 were playing instead of #9.....

He did because Jerry didn't want to fire him. He forced his hand. Jets, Bills, Bears....some horribly coached games..Even a decent coaching effort should've netted 10 wins that year.

Key game was the Eagles loss, where the WRs were wide open against a depleted Eagles secondary, but an injured Dak had no accuracy. His QB rating was 50 points lower than the week before and the week after.

Sit Dak, play Rush and win, and Garrett ends the season on a 3 game win streak, with the offense putting up 40+ for the two games with a healthy Dak. We might have even won a playoff game. Offense was rolling, Dline was healthy.

We were *so* close to another 5 year contract for Garrett.

They were never sitting Dak. They use to play Romo in games like that too where he'd be depleted. What killed me about the Eagles game was the game plan didn't change knowing Dak was hurt. That was this team though. Even if they had started Rush they would've had him playing foolish. Probably throwing out routes all game.

There were plenty of weapons still and dak misses many throws and the final drive miss was crucial .
What about the Philadelphia game , a very weak Philip defense and the season on the line , dak was terrible and could not throw one TD .
Same against the saints and NE erc etc .

Not playing Tony? The D failed us in the playoffs.
Interesting side note:

Before last year's squad said "hold our beers" the 2013 defense held the dishonor of being the worst defense in franchise history.

Lawrence was drafted in 2014 but didn't start in any games and only played in 7 with virtually no impact. Hitchens was also drafted that year and he played in all 16 and had a decent season but less productive than Carter was the previous season.

Martin was also added in 2014 and solidified the youngish but very talented O-line.

With virtually the same defense that had just established the new franchise benchmark in futility, Romo lead the team to 12-4 and... well, you know the rest.

That's the difference between being able to protect your defense, and expecting them to protect the QB.

That's two years in a row injuries to Dak cost the team the playoffs.

35 mil + QBs find ways to win . If dak is paid this X-ray money , he is about to be under so much scrutiny to get to the super bowl . Not sure how he will handle the pressure . Once a QB has a SB ,he has leverage and fans can be patient .

I think it's pretty clear the priority for Dak is money. He's been "betting on himself" for 3 years now and has stated that he wants he and his buddies to be the highest paid.

Now Tad might cave under the fan pressure to win but I'm not so sure it will bother Dak much.

I'll do the same for you.

A smart man could have at least tried to come up with a lame excuse to try and explain away their cap comment. You just tried to act like it didn't happen.

Zeke was awesome vs Phily. 13-47, 0 td's. Longest run, 10 yards!
Zeke was awesome vs N.O.. 18-35, 1 td. Longest run, 6 yards!
