So, Any Tweeners Rated in the First Round?

People tell me BPA every year. And every year I say how the Cowboys will focus their draft. And every year they focus their draft.

Not every year. When we were getting top 10 picks, though it was pretty easy to see where the chips would fall. The last two years were obvious because we had huge needs at OLBs. Lots of teams do BPA. Obviously there will be some focus. We won't be drafting a C, NT, ROLB, QB, SS, RB, etc. with the first round pick, for instance.

Unless a stud drops, I'd say you are right. For instance if Adrian Peterson inexplicably fell...all bets might be off.

Side Note. Tony Romo seems to have fixed 2 glaring holes that needed to be fixed with #1/2 draft picks: QB and OT.

even w/o ROmo doing this well, I don't think OT was going to be a 1st round priority

never has, never will be

and besides, BP is high on both Columbo and McQ

I just wouldn't be in a hurry to toss either Watkins or Carpenter under the bus at this point and I don't think the Cowboys will-- thusly I think you can scratch FS and OLB off of the draft list for the 1st round also.

I think so too, that's why I'm saying I think we're going BPA this year

I wouldn't be in a hurry to grant them the starting spot for next year either.

Carpenter was drafted to play outside and outside he will be.

Wrong .. He was drafted in moldof Vrabel... BP was hoping he would have that versatility to play anywhere like Mike does... His potential versatility is what he hoped for...

if we draft 22 and below

there's not much seperation there, from a 2nd round pick, so to move into the high 2nd round, and pick up a couple more picks

hell, I'm all for it
