Hate for a president that was elected not even a year ago is going nowhere. These ant-Trump protesters are a loud bunch but they are outnumbered by mostly silent supporters of the president that speak with their pocket book and their vote... they did it November 8th of last year and now are doing it by boycotting the NFL.

And then you look at the poll numbers that are at historic lows. He is easily the most unpopular president of all of our lifetimes.

You are part of the 30-35% that will support him regardless but you are the minority. The rest of us are on the other side.

There have been how many GOP witch hunts for voting fraud over the past decade? There have been what about 3 dozen cases in that time?

Then you look at partisan and racial gerrymandering. Sure you can waive your hands at Maryland but every red state does so. Take NC who voted 53% for the democrats yet control around a third of the legislature. That is the actual blight on democracy.

We need to move on from winner take all districts and move to a parliamentary system.

You are right, Fuzzy... that pesky election didn't really happen. Keep telling yourself that. :muttley:

When it comes to Trump, the polls are always wrong.

Clinton was an awful candidate. That does not make Trump desirable now that election season is over.

The polls in the last week of October and first week of November closed to within the margin of error. They predicted Clinton to win the general by 2 points during that time period.

And for all of your handwaving at the electoral college, Trump lost the general by two points. I think there was one state where Trump won and it was outside of the margin of error.

Meanwhile, Trump is having historically low approval ratings. Your narrative that there is a silent supporting group fro him is laughable.

Once again you have resorted to snark and smilies over anything intelligent. You've been told and your posturing is unconvincing. I know you are not this stupid.

You're claim's are fake new drivel. Why should I pay them any attention? Every since the election, you and the rest of the anti-Trump crowd have invented your own alternate reality so you don't have face the truth. I'm loving it and what's better is when he get's re-elected. Then the denial will really kick in. Please don't disappoint me Fuzzy.

RCP Trump at 39% Approval. It's been hovering around 38% for months. Historical lows.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/

538 has it at 38.5% and you can compare it with other presidencies. Historical lows. Lower than Carter. Lower than Ford. Lower than Clinton during the Lewinsky hearings.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/

538 again showing the margins of victory including Trump wins in all states plus the 3% general election prediction.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_2016

Clinton won the popular vote by 2 points.

And wishcasting that the least popular president in history will get re-elected is amusing. You have nothing.

You have a poll addiction. You place far too much importance in them. I thought you would have figured that out last November. I never said you couldn't find links to parrot what you are saying. The alternate reality you anti-Trumpers have created is quite extensive. It makes me happy that you seem to be truly invested emotionally in Trump not being re-elected. Fair warning, it's coming. And four years after that you can expect to get ready for president Ted Cruz.

One shred of proof for

you said:

You were just showed that more people voted for Trump's opponent than for him.

And polls are the way we have of scientifically demonstrated a population's opinion on a subject. Compare and contrast with what you have for proof of anything: nothing.

Polling is your religion so of course you are going to try to justify it to others. I'm not interest so please prove you at least have the courtesy of a Jehovah Witness by going away after I dismiss you.

Religion is about faith. I gain knowledge from empirical proof not faith. I have already showed how polling predicted the past election within its margin of error and it was spot on for the general.

If you don't want a back and forth then quit responding. You are in no position to dismiss anyone. WIshcast all you want. It's all you have.

Why would they protest the President.

A big reason for their high paychecks is him.

He overpaid for players in the USFL and forced the NFL to pay players more.

So what exactly are players protesting and what can actually be done about it?

The HONEST answer? Kap was protesting a subject that, is we're being BRUTALLY candid and honest, most white Americans really could care less about. That subject is the brutally biased justice system in this country. And, when most men of color speak out about this, they are quickly told by white America to a) move on, b) stop killing each other, or c) some randomly asinine comments void of any facts. The major protest by the players occurred because the President had NO PROBLEM calling out the NFL players for protesting, while in the same breath he actually said some white supremacists where fine people - never called them out until he was forced to.

And, I'm sure (as most on this board seem to do in matters like this), I'm going to get a lot of "what the hell are you talking about" type responses. I will simply say to any of you that have NEVER faced any of these issues face-to-face, how can you possibly know what is going on in somebody else's life.

Catch, I think a LOT of what's going on can't even begin to be measured in fact. I think most of what we're all experiencing is "perception". Look, I'm not knocking any white person that feels a certain way about certain issues in this country. I want us to all come together.

However, as a black male, it angers me to NO END when I see cases like Brock Turner's Rape Case or Ethan Crouch's Vehicular Manslaughter Case ends with basically these kids getting a slap on the wrist whereas Brian Banks, at 16 years old, gets tried as an adult for a rape he did NOT commit and there was evidence supporting him and would've erroneously served almost 40 years if the girl hadn't been caught on tape lying - of course, he'd already lost 5 YEARS of freedom at this point. Then, you have our current president taking out an article in the NY Daily News in '89 about the Central Park 5, calling these guys killers, thugs, etc...........in a case where they hadn't even been tried yet. Of course, when they were all finally freed because of DNA evidence and the fact that at least 3 of the boys were originally coerced into giving guilty pleas, he kept fanning the flames stating they should've never been released, they deserved to die, etc............yet, he celebrates Sheriff Arpaio all of his racial profiling, breaking the law, etc.............

Again, what many in the black community perceive and what the white community believe is fact are smashing heads right now.

Yeah but when you do that you are taking the Micro and saying it's the Macro.

There will always be outlier cases like this but I don't think it proves there is an overall injustice. I could be wrong though.

lol, you should save your energy. Catch doesn't actually care and his original question isn't genuine.

His point of view is the protestors don't know what they're protesting and there are no solutions.
