Oh, I'm sure you have more than made sure that the defense's position is heard loud and clear. All you did was quote portions of Zimmerman's account that have been known for weeks.

The PC affidavit, police report, and trial testimonies are all that I personally am interested in. From reading this thread you guys put stock into hearsay and innuendo and then fill in the gaps for whichever 'side' you are on.

Right now there are some serious inconsistency in what might be considered credible knowledge.

That Orlando Sun interview from someone in the PD says that Zimmerman said he was walking back to the car and the PC affidavit says that Zimmerman confronted Martin, the police report says that Martin's father told police that was not his son screaming for help and then Martin's father went on CNN and said ' I am certain' that is my son's voice screaming for help, and most recently the lead investigator says that they have evidence that Zimmerman's account oh how he got his head wounds was not really how it happened.

I really do not know what to believe because the defense, police department, press and prosecution are all over the place. You think its important that the defense arguments be heard, well i think its important to point out that we don't know **** and need to quit acting like we do.

For the one millionth time, I want ALL SIDES heard. It seemed necessary to point out the defense position since there was way more folks on here ready to hang Zimmerman since as you say "We don't know ****."

At the end of the day, if he is guilty he needs to pay for it. But idiots on here think he should have been jailed the night of the event, tried already and hung. They are crazy and thinking this stuff gets solved in 53 minutes like it does on TV.

I'm well aware that he may not be tried until several months up to a couple of years if they really want to stretch it out. But I'm betting around 7 months and this thing resurfaces in an unspectacular fashion. They plea it out and the public gets to wonder what happened.

If you saw the picture of his "wounds", the blood flow stains seem odd. On the left side of his head the blood flow was going to the left. On the right side it was going down and to the right. The blood looked clearly dry. Odd

But you see, you can't just arrest someone without something to hang your hat on. They might can hold someone for 24 hour for suspicion or something but not allowing the process to run it's course is not prudent.

Further, you said he should have let the police handle it but then you say the police were incompetent. It really doesn't mater because no one knows what really happened but Zimmerman. That's the only witness. Not Martin's girlfriend or anyone else. So let the process play out.

You don't know what tests were or were not do. Plus many of the test they use on TV are not called for in every case.....
It's not just a matter of the tests they do on TV aren't always done in real life, it's also that the tests they do in real life often take weeks for definitive results.

I bet it gets pushed back until after election day. No one is going to want an electoral inferno dominating headlines in September/October.

Yeah, blood flow tends to do that when whatever it is bleeding is being moved. Like his head being turned side to side while on his back, maybe? And the blood in the pic was showing the glare of the flash, indicating it was still wet.

BNA? Makes no sense but whatever...

And I call the ones who wanted him arrested with no evidence and people who think this should be wrapped up in the amount of time they show a crime drama idiots. If you were capable of reading and comprehending posts you might understand that.

What does your forensics training tell you?

I posted that already, it looked odd. Try reading all posts relevant to the post you are attempting to belittle next time.

What struck me as far more questionable than the lack of obvious injury was the lack of obvious blood on his clothing (his own or Trayvon’s, who was reportedly shot while above Zimmerman) and the lack of protective gloves on the officers handling his clothing, which are standard in a situation where there’s any possibility of exposure to blood-borne disease (not to mention evidence contamination).

I don’t doubt that there was a physical altercation between them, but this video does make me question the extent of it. (No matter how slight the scuffle though, I’m really surprised that the officer doing the search of his clothing before bringing him inside wasn’t wearing gloves.

While I’m sure it’s not the way they portray it on the TV dramas, I’d think it difficult to contain all those blood drops and body bits during a close quarter shooting like this.)

Looks like blood.

It's probably dry because some time passed between the cut and picture. It's not like his brains were pouring out of his head.

The blood being dry wasn't really the point. It was the pattern of the blood flow.

Supposedly they cleaned him up on the scene.

It's pretty clear it wasn't gushing all over. It barely made it to his neck on the right side.

Looks like there's a small hole in his scalp. Wonder if a small pebble or something else was underneath where his head hit.

What about the pattern, what would you expect to see?
