What if the Cowboys sucked? and the Niners were the talk of the NFL? Would Deion be calling himself a Niner?
Just something to think about.
Regardless, I love Deion and I see him as a Cowboy.

So you weren't a Communications Major. I won't ask you what the speaker at Burger King is saying then.bbgun;2138294 said:I watched him for a bit on draft day (NFLN). I could hardly understand what he was saying.

Outside of his first season with the Cowboys, I can't see that he was anything but a highly paid 'bust'- because he spent more time on the sidelines than in the games.
And, I can't stand the way he set T.O. up in 2006 on National Television for his interview when T.O. spit in D'Angelo Hall's face. Deion set T.O. up by quesioning him on national television, and he's the reason T.O. got fined.
He claimed he loved T.O. like a little brother, and then offered him up as a sacrifice for his ratings on the NFL network.
Hall was a crybaby, and Deion helped him distract attention from the fact that T.O. ate his lunch all night.
And, Deion seems to think that he is one of the most loved Cowboys ever- when he gave us one decent year, and got a ring in return for it.
As far as I can see, Dallas doesn't owe him anything- and I wish he'd quit acting like he's a Cowboy- when his pass interference against Irvin knocked us out of the third Super Bowl in a row, and we had to come back the next year.
But for all of his hype, I still see Deion Sanders as a Falcon/49'er who came here and helped for one year-which is probably why he sat on both sides of the fence when he helped D'Angelo Hall cover for the whipping he took at the hands of T.O.
Just a rant. It's the off season.

At The Ranch he has been labeled a troll....
I am impressed with his tenacity, his willingness to battle and to be hammered without responding with equal ugly measure. However, leeblair will conveniently invoke his spirituality when things get rough but I sincerely believe that is for deflection.

leeblair;2137117 said:I agree that Deion was important to our last Super Bowl win. There's no denying that. He had an outstanding season that year.
After that, though, he may have simply tried to do too much. He began to get involved with the offense, and then turf toe sidelined him a lot.
I just didn't see that we benefitted from having him after the first year. We didn't win a lot, and we didn't gain any more Super Bowl rings.
And, I can't say that Deion is the only reason we won a Super Bowl that year. We probably would have won without him, and probably should have won the previous year while he was with San Francisco- except for the non-call on pass interference, and the three turnovers early that put us way behind.
No one questions that he is an impact player; but if he wants to be remembered as a Cowboy, then he should stick with his loyalties, and not be a part of the roasting of one of our stars.
I don't go for this "holier than thou" atitude, as if he's the reason that Adam Jones will be a success in Dallas. Adam Jones was a success in Tennessee, and if the Michael Vick story had broken 4 months sooner, Jones would have never been suspended.

At The Ranch he has been labeled a troll by the core group of posters and they started bashing him with vigor over the last year and pretty much on any reply or thread he started no matter how benign or malignant.
It got so bad I recently started one of the longest threads at The Ranch titled "The Continuous Bashing of Leeblair Must Stop". The thread went on for almost 40 pages over several weeks pounding on leeblair even more.
I was not popular for a few days starting that thread despite good intentions but toward the middle of the thread I lost it when leeblair stated that the Dallas Cowboys organization in part caved in to the pressure of pro-Barber fans and made Marion Barber the starter over Julius Jones. Leeblair felt that Julius really got a raw deal with the Cowboys. Leeblair also stated that one of the objectives of fans of players they adore is to go around to other forums and subvert them...such as the Barber fans.
He also has lobbied for Joey Harrington and David Carr as a better option when Romo was starting as our quarterback and alluded that Drew Bledsoe poorly performed or sabotaged games on purpose.
Leeblair also claimed he got through to the Dallas Cowboys organization frontline phone receptionist and suggested a defensive play which coincidentally was used in an upcoming if not the very next game.
Leeblair claims to be a T-ball coach and he has stated that he has the aptitude or ability to be an NFL calibre coach and under a short learning curve.
These are just some of the highlights I remember from the thread but there is so much more spanning 2 years of his posting at The Ranch.
So no, I don't think leeblair is a troll in the classic sense but if he is a troll he is a brilliant one, because of the way he plays victim and exhibits delusion.
I am impressed with his tenacity, his willingness to battle and to be hammered without responding with equal ugly measure. However, leeblair will conveniently invoke his spirituality when things get rough but I sincerely believe that is for deflection.
One thing for sure though, your threads will wildly proliferate and be entertaining for years to come, if you can live with leeblairs posting idiosyncracies but be prepared for your forum to decay in terms of quality and fabric.
In summary, if you want opinion from Saturn third ring out - or team and player assessments that are like jumping into a barrel of teats and coming up sucking your thumb - then you should embrace the opinions of leeblair.

Also don't forget how he thought we should have traded Romo to Green Bay.

I really don't give a flying crap about how people are treated on another forum. I would prefer that if you guys have issues with leeblair on that forum that you leave those issues there.
If you simply can't stand the man and his opinions, put him on Ignore. I promise you it won't kill you to not have to refute and expose everything he says.
Handle stuff over there however you see fit. Here, we really don't need the drama. I'm not saying you can't disagree with what he posts. But I'm already seeing obsession over his opinions expressed on another forum being brought into threads where he is not talking about those things.
Debate what he says on here the way we debate each other. If you want to get in a pissing match with him, do it where it is accepted.
Fair enough?
