Hostile, if this is in part or whole a response to my comments then I will be clearer. If leeblair continues posting in here that is fine with me because I don't head hunt him. But I am providing a heads up because of the turmoil his posting has caused at The Ranch. As I stated, I like and respect this board.

But your irritation or concern over instigation with dual citizenship posters providing explanation and warnings is grossly misplaced. Do you realize that the CowboyZone and this leeblair thread has been linked in a thread from The Ranch. It is a portal!

Also look no further then how some of your native forum members have started negatively responding to leeblair without any encouragement or enlightment.

This is about as far as I will take leeblair matters in this forum, as I am not on a crusade, nor do I run this board.

By the way leeblair formally announced his leaving The Ranch about two weeks ago and has conveniently rejoined The Ranch and is stirring the pot between both forums. I would think it would be wise of him to quit while he was behind...
I didn't single out anybody CE. Not in my post, nor in my mind. In fact, I did not particularly notice who the posters were who spoke up about "same old leeblair." I saw 4 or 5 references to his history at The Ranch and decided to speak up myself to try and head it off at the pass before it gets out of hand.

I'm fine with this thread being linked over there. I don't mind the traffic. Unlike some forums we're not here to bash any other forum or their posters. If they need leeblair to be a topic over there or this forum to be a topic over there to boost their traffic that's their business. Here, we prefer to keep it about the Dallas Cowboys.

All I'm asking is for those who absolutely can't stand him because of some history over there is to put him on Ignore over here. It is really just that simple. There is no need whatsoever to bring up what he posted at the Ranch 2 or 3 years ago and grill him on it here.

This thread is about Deion Sanders. Let's keep it about Deion Sanders. Some Cowboys fans (like me) love Deion Sanders and absolutely see him as a Cowboy. Some Cowboys fans (like leeblair) never cared for Deion. You telling me no one else on this forum dislikes Deion? It is hardly a troll topic.

All he did was post his opinions about the man. I don't see where the staff here should be raising red flags about his act. For what? Expressing an opinion on Deion Sanders? Last time I checked the Guidelines, disliking Deion Sanders was not forbidden.

If he becomes a problem here trust me, we will address it. When posters come here with a History from another forum we try and give them a clean slate here. If some of you can't get past his past somewhere else, then please heed my advice and put the man on Ignore.

Maybe Neon Deion was a mercenary... Still he contributed to a championship and he was a player worth the price of admission. I welcome him as a Cowboy.

Yeah he was loud and brash, but he was a winner. He was vital in our winning XXX. He was a good teammate and a solid player.
Players like Deion should be welcomed and encouraged to be a part of the organization because of the experience and insight they bring with them.
Dont hate bro.

"Prime" bleeds blue & silver-can't you tell?! I'm sure he has love for ATL for drafting him in; he was merely a hired gun for the 49ers; WSH & Baltimore were all about $$$, so to which of his teams do you think he'd align himself? I know his persona rubbed some the wrong way but to not recognize him as one of the best CBs ever is purely "hating"!

Just so you know...the people over at the Ranch are laughing quite hard at this post. In case you guys didn't know. Leeblair is a hated poster over at the ranch because he pulls stupid stuff like this out of his arse. Wait untill he gets to his "Julius was the man" posts. He thinks Seattle got a great deal and JJ will be breaking records in Seattle. Because he just wasn't given a chance here in Dallas. Come on Leeblair. When are you going to hit the zone with one of your JJ is better than Marion Posts.
So, I guess we should end this thread =]

I don't think anyone would dispute that Deion is one of the best cornerbacks ever to play the game. I don't know if he was the best, but he's definitely one of them.

What gets me about him is that he came to Dallas, and we won a Super Bowl in his first year here. But, it was the failed expectations we all had back then that really let me down. He was going to play offense, and then he did, and then he wasn't. The turf toe injury was tough, and it hobbled him for a while.

But, I think that the biggest thing for me was that we didn't get the interceptions from Deion after his first season. His interception totals dropped way down.

And, if you were to ask Jerry back then, I'd be he'd have said he was disappointed, too.

So, Deion isn't a Cowboy because of turf toe.

Gotcha.

I don't know if I'd be the Cowboys' fan I am today if Deion didn't play for this team. I'm 19 and the first football I could really get into is from the mid 90s. Deion, Emmitt and Aikman were my first favorite players, but above Emmitt and Aikman was Deion. I had his shoes, his jersey, and posters of him on my walls (they're still in my childhood room actually :lmao2:). I watched the Cowboys mainly to see Deion and in the process I became a huge fan of the Cowboys and have remained one to this day.

It's hard to get picks when you only see a pass thrown your way 2-3 times a game (and most of them were probably quick hitches, slants, or outs)! That's why we were able to play him on offense because he rarely got work on the defensive side. I'm sure the only disappointment JJ had about 21 was that his toe hindered him from being the superstar of a playmaker that he was. I wish our resident stat-man (Adam) was online so he could pull up some numbers (if they even tracked how many times DBs were thrown to back then)...

The interceptions thing is bogus. As it's pointed out, more than once in this thread, you ARE NOT going to get loads of INT's when NO ONE THROWS AT YOU.

Deion got the ball thrown in his direction 2 times, maybe 3, in a game if he was lucky. Teams stopped even looking at his side of the field because they didn't view throwing to his side as an option.

The fact that people actually tailored game plans around the idea of not even looking at one side of the field to me is WAY better than a few extra INT's ever would have been.

Exactly. And so far, all indications he will go into the HOF as a Cowboy.

It'll be one of the worst speeches ever....
