Its not that hard...because Sean is after his money too...
What evidence do you have to suggest Sean is after his money? No mattter who represents Dez....I am pretty sure they will get a commision for whatever contract they negotiate. If Dez was considering having his uncle or cousin or best friend from high school represent him(which is totally his perogative)....then I might be understand the concern. But Sean is worth 50 times what Dez is worth...he does not NEED Dez money. In fact...being in the sports agency business is "peanuts" for Sean...it is about diversifying his portfolio and increasing his brand recognition. But 2% or 3% on a $100m dollar deal is vacation money for Sean.

I actually respect the man as a business man and it wouldn't be the worst thing that Dez did. I would also like to know what Jordan thinks about this? As a sponsor of Dez's I'm sure he would want Dez to sign with a good agent. Maybe he is getting advice from them and his mentors.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion...but not sure why people would be against Dez Bryant being represented by Sean Carter (Jay-Z for those that did not know). CLEARLY Sean is a tremendous business man. He is one of the highest paid entertainers in the world. He is easily worth half a BILLION dollars (probably more) I am sure Dez listens to his music and they enjoy similiar tastes when it comes to entertainment. So I would love to hear from those that are so oppsed to Sean.

Totally agree. Gone WILL be the days where an agent haggles for the best football contract.

In comes agents such as Sean Carter taking these players into bigger and better success outside of football.

It annoys me that Jerry does those Papa John commercials of him dancing. He could have given that endorsement to one of the players. Heck maybe he should have dangled that D. Ware in return for a cap friendly contract with the Cowboys. Maybe D. Ware would still be playing for much less and we won't have to see Jerry dancing in that commercial.

I think this news is a positive in the long run. Therefore, Bryant knows he has endorsements coming thus is willing to sign a cap friendly with the Cowboys.

He's thinking outside of the box.

Could it be over guaranteed money?

Maybe Dez would go less on the total price of the contract and get more guaranteed, but the agent wanted a higher total value?

I'm sure he's a better guy than Rosenhaus, I just don't like him or Kayne. No idea if he would be a good or bad thing for Dez or the Cowboys.

Not going to argue with you about your opinion, but facts are facts...Men Lie, Women Lie and numbers don't lie.....He has probably come from a place 10 times worse then were most of you guy on this board are from(Except me Camden, NJ) and has defied all odds to put his children in a much better state in life....THATS ALL THAT REALLY MATTERS ONCE WE LEAVE THIS EARTH.......in closing....HATE MUCH DO YOU.....

Parker was intent upon getting top dollar for Dez. From what I've heard, Jerry has been talking with Dez with Parker out of the loop and I'm certain that presents problem for Parker. I see this as a positive development.

You can get a great contract and still be "team friendly".
Team friendly does not necessarily mean cheap.

Dez is gonna get paid at or at least within 10% of market value.
Part of the debate is probably "what is market value".

I'm not hear to argue who's better or not (this a rightly-so biased Cowboy board)
But the league-wide comparables, in no order, are going to be:

Julio Jones
AJ Green
Antonio Brown
Jordy Nelson
Demaryius Thomas

Then, the design of the contract will be what is team friendly not.

If an agent has any of those other players as a client, you can see where there could be a conflict in getting a Cowboy specific team friendly deal done.
What's team friendly for Dallas my not be for another team.

This is excellent news. If people are wondering how the team is going to be able to stay together in the cap world. Seems like the players have similar concerns. Tyron already signed his manageable deal.

Spurs are my favorite organization in sports. One of the hallmarks of their success is their unselfishness. There are no max contracts on the Spurs despite having 3 future HoF that could easily demand that type of money. I believe Dirk has done the same and voila Chandler and Chandler. If you want to stack talent and create good teams then stars have to sacrifice.

Say what you want about Jones and Garrett but the environment they create speaks for itself.

I'm sure Romo didn't take a team-friendly deal, why should Dez? I know people want other people to take a HUGE CUT in their worth unless it's us of course. The bottom line is, Romo's kicking butt this season, but his contract is the reason other's may not get paid. It's just the bottom line. So I really hope he doesn't take a discount, I really want him here, but he has a right to make as much as he can before he's tossed out like Ware and others were.

One that WILL sign team friendly deals...like Tyrons. Granted I think JayZ is still very new to this to have a reputation for being a ball buster. I just think he likes to project being a "hustla"....more power to him, make that money, but if thats the case sign OTHER teams players...not ours.

Tyrons agent wasn't apart of that deal I don't believe.

I've been saying it for a while, there is a lot more money to be made outside of football from being successful within football.

If Dez and Murray could work on their contracts together, this would help set this team up for a super bowl next year.
