If you look at the "rumor thread" it is clear the person that lonestar17 is relating all this to is Brown Sugar. I don't know if she still posts around here, but the description is her.

I don't see this ever happening.

How much??? Put your money where you're mouth is.

How much are you willing to part with?

We aren't making a bet. I just want to know how much you'd lose if it came to fruition.

Really? What about the Strong rumor that the QB BP trashed couple of days ago ( commenting about how he was limited at that position in 2003), is going to try to get him again? :D

Geez, its the same people who complain about Spags that seemingly can't let go of Quincy either. :p:

Half truths again. Quincy's limitations were his lack of experience(15 starts) when Parcells' got here. He said he looked at Quincy like he was a rookie(since 16 games make a season, technically,Quincy was a rookie). Apparently he thought Quincy's limitations were less than Brian Griese's who was available at the time. Parcell's said he didn't want a 8-8 qb when asked about Griese and low and behold Griese couldn't get the Bucs to the playoffs last year, despite starting most of the season. Why wouldn't you try get back a qb who you've won with before(see Vinny,Bledsoe)?

Nothing, Charles. Just like your point.
Thats what I thought. You don't have the cajones or the cash :laugh2:

Wanna take a guess which player has graded out the worst (according to their respective positions) in camp so far?

I thought we could have some fun, but you don't want to play. No one took my Gurode bait 3 months ago in MAY.

Rack took the Clarett bait prior to the draft but I saved him some cash.

Anyway have a nice day.

Quincy was a wasted era here.

Spags is right. The clown isn't even in football.

You can hate on Spags, but this time, shorty is correct. Quincy is a nightmare we all revisit.

Let's wake up and move on.

You think making the playoffs in 2003 was a nightmare, then what was last year.

{yawn}

Is this where you go into your tirade about how Carter "led" this team to the playoffs and did the same with the Jets last year?

Off you go.

Eh? What the heck are you talking about dude? 2003 BP said he wanted to see what he had in Both Quincy and Hutch. He never said he thought Quincy was a rookie or that he looked at Quincy as he was rookie. Show me an article that says that if not.

All he said, was he didn't care what happened before he came there and as far as he was concerned, the slate was clean on both of them. It wasn't just Griese that he comented about, he just said none of the QBs available at that time were World beaters.

Nice selective memory but BP won inspite of Quincy, that was pretty clear from his many comments. But then you want to hear what you want to hear. Ugh I hate this Quincy debate, I for the life of me never can understand why any Cowboys fan thinks highly of that guy!! Unless they have other agendas besides Cowboys.

Lions and Us the Cowboys

They have a starter in Harrington (at lest for now)
and a backup in garica why bring in Carter?

We have a starter in Bledsoe
and backups in Romo and Henson

BP said he's only bringing 3 QB's to camp, if he is coming back to us somebody is getting cut.
We have very bad depth at qb. I would welcome carter with open arms as a backup if he didn't let down us and his team with the weed.

i could understand the browns but the cowoys and lions? They and we have depth at QB that would be a pointless siging, and since BP said he is only bringing in 3 QB's the only way i see him getting here i if one of the QB's get cut.

Harrington's a heartbeat away from being a bust, that's why Garcia was brought in. Quincy's record against Garcia/Harrington is 3-0 and he's 2-0 against Mooch, embarrassing Mooch in San Francisco and Detroit, both times with qb ratings 118 or better. Now think again about why Mooch would want Carter, especially since Mooch has had two bad seasons in Detroit and his head coaching career is circling the drain.

PS. The Cowboys depth behind Bledsoe is worst than Chicago's which finished 32nd in qb play last year. Parcells' says he's too old to lose, well, that's exactly what will happen if Bledsoe goes down and maybe if he doesn't. Carter already knows this offense and has had success with it. Carter may be the only way we can salvage this season if Bledsoe goes down and if we wait too long, the Jets and their two injury-prone qb's may beat us to the punch. Wouldn't that be just dandy if the Jets beat us to Carter and go to the playoffs again while we stink up the joint with Huey,Duey and Loogy. Yeah, that would really Parcell's legacy.

YOu use head to head records like they mean anything. The only faucet of sport that a head to head record matter is with starting pitchers. Quincy was on better teams than harrington. I hardly remember us playing the niners with quincy being here.

Why did you post the original thread.

Get over it. He was a fail bit here and will never amount to more than a speed bump in a Cowboy's trivia book.

You wish.

i wouldnt mind him either, i was basing it off of BP's saying, we may not have great depth but we have it, we are at the limit of what bP says he wants to take to TC and Preseason,

BTW Katr as far as the lions go.

Harrigton may be a heartbeat away from a bust, but that doesnt mean they need carter, again thats why they have garcia, and he cans till back him up,

I seriously doubt Carter's going anywhere to fight for abackup spot. he did it last year and now wants to be a starter, which is whjy the Jets SAID(before people et into tirades) they realsed him.

Let it die Kartr. Let it die 50cent. Let it die fans of Carter. His time has come and gone. If it ever comes again, then you can say I told you so. Until such time, let it die.

If Carter now has his head screwed on right and you knew for a fact he wouldn't relapse, he'd be a solid backup QB to have on your football team.

With that said, I don't see him coming back to the Cowboys in that or any other capacity for that matter.

There is an agenda behind the original post by twobits. he was right and Spags was wrong.

Reread it.

He has been championing this cause for a long while. Hius angle is to "out" Spags as a hater of Carter.

Several things occur here.

They seem to always have an ar5ticle on the Kennedy assasination each year in the DMN. One of the truly low spots in dallas history, and it is played out in newsprint every single year.

It's called reporting. Nothing more or less than what the DMN and Spags was doing.

Spags also was beliitled as not having an original thought. However, I bet if you checked into it that the reporterse all were sitting around sipping a cool one yesterday and someone mentioned this. It's news. The one year anniversary.

But if Spags truly is a hater, then there is a line there longer than the one at the latest Star Wars opening. Mahy people see a window of hapless and inept play by this team. There is one player that is the poster-boy for that play.

That is Carter.

It's time we all move on. That horse finished last. Let's all tear up our tickets and go to the betting window for the next race.

That's hooey Louie.

How could the Bears not be on that list... I mean they already have Hutch and well Quincy is better than him....LOL.. sorry... really...sorry..just had to... :laugh2:

I don't know, Chad had a higher qb rating with the Bears than Quincy ever did with the Boys. And his winning of the job when they competed in pre-season was pretty questionable, by a hair maybe, and I thought Hutch got stiffer competition that summer.
