However if I felt I was a top prospect to become a HC I would want to take a job where I had a bigger say in what is going on I would not want a puppet job no matter who is drafting. It is called being in control of you own fate. I like Spranao and he made his choice and I hope it works out but with some other offers out there I think I would have passed on the Miami job in favor of one of the other teams showing interest. I do think sometimes guys jump at jobs that in the end they wished they would not have.

As for them being fools hell people take bad jobs even in the NFL. They made their choice I hope it works for them but if I was in Sparano shoes yes I would be more interested in a team where I have a bit more control over what is going on instead of being anyone's puppet.

Ireland and Sparano are no more puppets in Miami than they were in Dallas, no matter what everyone's misguided perception of Bill Parcells say to the contrary.

Doomsday101;1908691 said:That is your opinion. BP can be overbearing he will do things his way, I don't blame him but the fact is BP has and always will do things the way he wants. As for the puppet in my opinion that is exactly what they are they have little control. Only one that is misguilded is you to think these guys will have any real say so. But then you are never wrong about anything now are you.
superpunk;1908702 said:So you just believe that they are idiots, and are going to work for a guy who will let them have no authority? Now, why would they do that when they (at least Sparano) have been contacted for other jobs?
You must think Ireland and Sparano are two of the stupidest people in the world if you actually believe the stuff you're typing.

Doomsday101;1908680 said:Both are a mess that is why they are looking for new HC. Miami defense is over the hill and in need of a lot right now and QB position is still a mess there is a lot of problems in Miami. I don't think the Alt job is any worse as I said with any of these jobs the new HC will have his hands full but at least you may have a chance to make a real name for yourself at Alt than say Miami where your control is going to be a lot less.

Atlanta's best WR is Joe Horn (turns 35 today!) Their best offensive weapn is Crumpler and do not really have great option at running back. Miami does have options at running back and they still have Marty Booker and Ted Ginn. They also have Parcells doing the shopping and they have the first overall pick in the draft which if I were them, I would be trading for (2) first rounders. Miami is getting older, but they still have enough playmakers on defense to hold out until they can get younger. As I noted before, injuries killed them this year.
Miami is in way better shape than Atlanta and it's not even close.
Either him or Mike Solari would be fine with me.Rack;1908694 said:Time to bring in that ole' firebelly Hudson Houck.
No. Jerry doesn't seem to be one that asks for compensation on personnel transfers and with him becoming a HC there wouldn't be a way to get it anyway.AmarilloCowboyFan;1908729 said:I'm sure this has already been mentioned or it's something I should know, but I don't so I'll ask.
Do we get any compensation for Sparano?

or you'll hate him if you're a different type. it's not rocket science.
