I agree. Colts did not rebuild after losing in the playoffs in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. Of course they had some losses due to FA and the cap but for the most part they continue adding to their core group of players and ownership did not panic and it ended up paying off last season as the Colts got over the hurdle

The assumption that Bill is an overbearing dictator, who is out to make unilateral decisions in Miami isn't consistent with his history, or the evidence displayed by his former employees being anxious to follow him everywhere he goes. Ireland and Sparano are no more puppets in Miami than they were in Dallas, no matter what everyone's misguided perception of Bill Parcells say to the contrary.

That is your opinion. BP can be overbearing he will do things his way, I don't blame him but the fact is BP has and always will do things the way he wants. As for the puppet in my opinion that is exactly what they are they have little control. Only one that is misguilded is you to think these guys will have any real say so. I would bet there are just as many people that loved to work for him as didn't.

No but I have followed his career I did hear him when he got upset with NE when he made the comment about buying the groceries. As a HC he wanted that why would Sparano not want the same thing that BP himself moaned about in NE. I like BP but as a HC he wanted a major say in things did he not? As I said I'm interested to see how this all works out, it may work fine but BP is a very hands on person in his own right and his reputation is on the line so how much say will Sparano have?

I think one thing that is missing is Sparano worked for BP in a certain role assistant coaches to HC the roles in this case are very different. As HC you want complete says so on what is taking place on the field you want some input into the players you feel you need as the HC to get your job done. You want the players to be accountable to you not going over your head. My question is how much rope will BP give Sparano? Chances are we will find out over the next couple of years

Saprano was probably our most excitable coach. He isn't a laid back person.
He IS going to want to have some say in Miami. He having worked with Parcells I would say it's safe he knows exactly how much say he is going to have. I would bet they discussed it at length.
