Sorry to hurt your feelings. Just telling the truth.

You seem to have your feelings hurt by those that don't agree with you. I could care less if you read my posts or not. However, should you choose to, go ahead and read the stats post and tell me: are those the numbers of a superstar QB? My point is that there's a lot of reason to be upset with tony romo, and I posted 3 years worth of stats that illustrate that point. You basically said "Nope, doesnt matter" and tried to pin an argument on me that I didn't make.

I'm not trying to come down on you DIAF. You could well be a very good man. I just wish you'd open your eyes more and understand that the decline of a team doesn't fall on the shoulders of one guy.

Surely, being a reasonable man, you can understand that.

So, you quote stats from the OP post to say "Romo is awesome" and then when the BAD STATS come out, its "Oh, its not his fault".

I don't have a problem with people who want players to prove to them they can win before they have any belief in them. What i have a problem with is if they haven't won up to a certain point in their young careers people think there's no way they will ever win.

I never said any such thing. Now you're putting words in my mouth. I merely stated it was good to see a post showing all the good things that Romo has achieved in his young career; ranking him among the all-time greats at this point.

What does your post prove? Does it show all the plays called back cause our offensive line can't seem to remember the snap count? Or the balls he's had to rush scrambling cause he hasn't had the protection say a Peyton Manning or a Tom Brady get? What about the ball that Crayton stutter-stepped on that was RIGHT THERE! Do you think that would erase the "Tony hasn't won a playoff game yet" threads? Or the slick ball that went through his hands that should have beat Seattle? You betcha. Romo's fault? Eh.. yeah I guess.. But doesn't reflect on his ability to quarterback and lead this team.

Dude, it takes 53 players to win or lose a game. Putting it all on Romo is just an easy way to assign the blame. Fact is, it's the fault of Jerry Jones all the way down to the kicker, and then you mix in a bad break here and there. You have a very narrow-minded approach to what's happened to this team.

Nonsense.

When we lose it's Romo's fault.

When we win (or Romo plays well) it's to the credit of someone else.

I don't care what Tony's numbers are, until he gets a superbowl they will be pointless. For now I'll take a playoff victory.

The article is correct, stats don't lie and it tells you that Tony Romo is a darn good Quarterback and it would be foolish to give up on him after about 3 Seasons.

I believe if Bill Parcells would've stayed for at least one more year, we probably would've gotten over the hump and Tony Romo doesn't have the huge Playoff Monkey on his back.

I firmly believe that Tony Romo is a victim of poor Coaching and an atmosphere at Valley Ranch that is devoid of Leadership and Discipline.

He is literally being coached by someone who has never ever won a Playoff Game. Talent can only overcome so much, at some point, the team is going to need a strong Head Coach who provides leadership, discipline and someone who can teach others.

Like I said, GET BILL COHWER, MIKE HOLMGREN OR MIKE SHANAHAN IN HERE NOW, before you ruin Tony Romo for good :).

I have no idea what you are talking about with that. My not reading your posts has more to do with your tasteless username than your thoughts. I find it hard to stomach.

I have come across a couple at most Romo haters who even slightly try to be objective. Obectivity is not one of their strong suits.

When discussing Dallas failure in the Seattle playoff game as an example without fail they all blame Romo for the loss because of the botched field goal.

Nevermind that it was Romo the holder not Romo the QB. Nevermind the fact that with 6:42 remaining Dallas is winning and Terry Glenn and the defense decide to spot the Seahawks 9 points...nope Romo's fault.

Nevermind that in the Giants game Crayton came up small when needed the most. Nevermind that the Dallas D allowed the NY Giants to go 71 yards in 46 seconds right before halftime.

Nevermind in the Baltimore game that during crunch time when the haters say Romo chokes that he stepped up his game but the defense allowed back to back 77 and 82 yard TD runs to spoil the comeback.

Nope...all Romo's fault. It gets really tiresome to be honest.

Almost 30 might be young to you, but not NFL starting "franchise" QB's....

The age doesn't bother me. Favre is 40, so Romo may have 10 years left in him as a Cowboys starter.

Ya boy will be lucky to still be in the league when he's 30. He'll think it's pretty young.

Why does the immortal favre get compared to the very mortal Romo constantly. Is is their height?

Its not their arms, playoff wins or superbowl rings.

Reckless play I guess, except you can get away with it when you have some league clout.

If Romo's stats are so inflated by some WR, how come he's already had 2 games over 350 yards passing and 2 more over 250 yards passing? He must be Superman to pull that off without a life preserving, stat inflating WR.

...interesting...well one way or another we'll know by the end of this season if the Owens effect is real or not...but right now he's on pace to at least equal his yardage from 2007 [4,211]...imagine that!...now touchdown passes is another matter...he's running behind even his 2006 numbers but there's been a lot of endzone drops and redzone issues this year...

...his completion percentage has also dipped under 60% [58.2], a continued erosion from his 65.3% in 2006 but his yds/att is still an excellent 8.1 per...he's never been less than a 7.7 average...not hard to see that he's a big play quarterback...he's not about dinking and dunking...he'll be in elite company, stat wise, once he reaches 1,500 attempts...
