So far not much. Just talking about Kelly holcomb as maybe being a replacement for johnson if johnson leaves. He also has been talking about the reality that he thinks they didnt plan on signing Adams as far back as going into last years season.

OK, Tampa Bay is 44 mil under the cap and they have #20 pick. I can definitely see they make an offer to MBIII.

Lets say Tamp bay gives up #20 for Barber and we have #20, #22, and #28. The three No.1s are worth 2300 points, which equals #3 pick in the draft. hmmmmmmm

So basically we trade MBIII and two No.1s for McFadden??? That is a horrible trade.

I think that's unlikely.

The teams most likely to offer up that first would be Seattle and....Seattle, IMO.

How about spinning this that Marion is asking for a contract that is larger then he is worth. I am a homer, but Marion isn't worht a 1st and 3rd. He just isn't. Smart business move by Jerry IMHO.

I think you hit it on the head there. It is fair to MBII and fair to the Cowboys. He goes out to the market to see what he is worth. I think Jerry might have learned his lesson with what he did with Patrick Crayton.

It is almost like we are dangeling (sp?) the bait for other teams to give us the #1......wow!

I agree. Maybe Jerry and the coaches know something we don't. Maybe they don't think MB3 can be anything more than a backup/short yardage guy and are trying to get as much as they can based on the hype and fanfare that surrounds MB3. Let's face it, he is a big time crowd favorite. he has shown flashes, but he's as unproven a carry-the-load RB as any young RB in the draft.

We have to remember that lots of his yards and big plays came with a lead later in games. Don't get me wrong, my heart gets beatin' hard whenever he's in the game and I get super excited...but that can muddy the reality of what we have.

IS Marion Barber III an every-down back? Or is he, like Brandon Jacobs, an impressive and fan favorite backup RB?

If the latter, then ANY 1st round pick would be great IMO.
