What is the usual time of recovery for a knee injury such as Steele had?

How long was it before he started playing again?

Do any of you truly believe he lost his skill set in pass rush because he got paid? Are you really that obtuse?

Or could it be that he is still in the time frame of healing from this injury, and will not return to his former self until some time next season?

If that is the case, how would you characterize the vilification of Steele by the fans here?

Childish? Pouting? Name calling? Looking for something to ease the hurt feelings because of a loss?

And what steps would a tuned-in GM have done back in the off season coming up to the draft to ensure his aging offensive line would be more productive?

And with an offensive line that protects better, how would that aid to the passing game, and perhaps the running attack?

Maybe your maligning Steele would be bettered served if you pointed your sulking toward the two guy who deserves your ire.

Edoga or Richards. Chip with a TE or RB.

Call plays where you QB isn't trying to make a play right behind Steele.
That eliminates basically a 3rd of the field. Don't like that strategy. If it's so bad that he basically turns every LCB into Deion Sanders then he needs to sit down.

I believe he's not all the way back from injury. I don't think the contract plays any part other than it's keeping him on the field when he should still be recovering, and it's a huge detriment to the line. He needs to sit until he's all the way back.

The guys coming off a major injury are the ones you all are complaning about...notice the pattern? The irony though is that Jerry signed them all in lieu off of these major injuries, lol.
To be fair, that's because he saw a deal, to get them on the cheap.....which is the dumpster effect of CAP spending at the elite level (another denial of those that dont think there are CAP restraints).

We can't keep sending him out there every week when he is consistently dragging this line down. At this point he's probably the lowest graded RT in the league. So what should the plan be? Clearly Steele is still not 100% and needs some time to rest. Or maybe this is his 100% now and it's time for a more permanent change?

Can Richards play RT any worse than Steele right now? This seems like the least disruptive option?

Should we move Tyron to RT and put Richards at LT?

Move Tyler to LT, Tyron to RT and Bass to LG?

Any FAs out there? That can come play RT (or LG to give us some flexibility)

Thoughts?
The only change should be at RT.

Tyron and Tyler stay where they are. It’s the best left side oline going right now, for any team. It’s silly to mess it up.

I don't disagree. But at some point have to do something to shore up that right side. Don't know if Edoga or Richards could do it but really don't think they could be mich worse at this stage.

Steele has an 80 million dollar contract. He is probably the safest lineman on the roster with that contract.
Yep, he's the 22nd best paid RT in 2023. If we hadnt got a deal sorted out any deals, next season we'd have gaps at: LT, RT and C. He's coming of an ACL, what are we expecting?

He isn’t broken, just played an elite front. Coaches just need to give him some help when facing these matchups

The Smiths should be your starting tackles period quit screwing around MM
So, you’re moving Tyler Smith to right tackle?

Tyron has played out there before and it wasn’t a good move.

The left side is solid. Leave it alone.

JJ paid big $ for this bum so best believe he will be the starting rt for a long time. Get used to it

well, thanks to our great GM who hoped and played fantasy football, Steele is nothing but a pylon and Pollard being forced to play lead back for the first time in his career...that's college and pros. how is that working out for you jerry?

yeah, all the other teams have pro bowlers at every position why can't us? One guy hurt or out and we have the worst OL in the league.

Steele isn't going anywhere, it was a bad game against a great defense.

Biadasz was hot garbage too, just awful. Lets cut them all!

Steele has been bad to really bad all year. Spare me the hyperbolic nonsense. I'm not suggesting he has to be cut, but if his knee isn't right then sit him for a while until it is.

no one is asking for probowlers. but small level of competence. right now, Steele is as good as a pylon. another player getting a large contract and not living up to it. D-Law, Pollard, Gallup, Steele.
