Steve Smith to the Cowboys?

Do they even make salve anymore? I think I last saw it in a "Little Rascals" episode.

Opie was selling it on an Andy Griffith Show episode.

I think that was more recent than Little Rascals.

Interesting. His size does not bother you at all? The other guys are your typical WR superstars.

He may be short but he's not small. I'd love to see him and TO together.

That is exactly what popped into my head.

"How'd you do that voice Barn?"

Smith would be the balancing force to this offense IMO. If we signed him, I believe that we could become the odds on favorite to win the Super Bowl. With his kind of speed, even if you lost TO, Witten and Crayton would still be effective underneith. His kind of speed would force double coverage and there is no way you could play man to man on everybody else. His kind of speed would force LB coverage on Felix Jones as well. You could not keep a safety in tight to play Jones. You would almost have to try and go with a LB or play Nickle all the time, in which case, MBIII would eat your lunch for you. He is small but with our offense, he would be able to avoid a lot of the punishment he takes in Carolina. In our offense, you simply could not afford to focus on him the way teams focus on him in Carolina. He would be awsome.

I hate the punk, but would take him in a second. Newman would beat his arse if he tried that stuff at Valley Ranch.

You teased us all offseason with DMac bro. lol but I feel you on this one. Do not really think this guy is going anywhere. At least not anywhere near us.

I think the word is "obsessed" :D

hmm.

If it didn't work out with lucas, then how can it work with Newman

It would work out with Newman putting an ***-whipping on him.

That's a very good point. Smith goes about 5-9. That's short!
But he's like A. Iverson, the biggest little man you'll ever see.

He might be short, but he has a huge catching radius.

As much as I respect his abilities, I don't think he can control himself. I'd rather he be someone else's headache.

Hard to do when his favourite mode of attack is the sucker punch.

So far...knock on wood....we have had a pretty good track record dealing with player that have a suspect reputation.....What the hay..do it.

Man, as much as I want Roy Williams, Steve Smith opposite TO stretching the field would be ill.

+1 ...

I like Steve Smith, but I continue to think it is a terrible idea to take a #1 WR and make him a #2

the question is - how much for steve smith? then, if we give up top value for smith now, do we pass up on roy williams? who would be the better 3-5 year player for us?

not sure - just wanna max value for what we do.
