Many assume we're going to get past Detroit but the Cowboys are 7-11 vs the Lions since 81. They've given the Cowboys a lot of trouble over the years. Even during the early 90's the Cowboys were 1-3 against them.

Those games have absolutely nothing to do with sundays game. Nothing!

What? You mean you don't ponder Contracts FA or Drafts at all during the season? There's been like a 100 threads about all that stuff over the course of a season and you didn't once comment in them?

I've made a few comments during the season on Murray's contract and not wanting to sign Suh in free agency but that's about it. Of all the threads that have been started this season on contracts/free agency and the draft none were started by me. I've been too focused on the great season the Cowboys have been having to ponder about the draft and free agency. Usually this time of year that's all we have to look forward to I would much rather ponder on the playoff game we have coming up in 4 days. The draft and free agency are topics teams and fans usually start pondering when a season is lost and their team is playing for next year. Why ponder all of that when the Cowboys could be in the midst of a SB run? We're going to have plenty of time to discuss the draft and free agency. If the Cowboys were to win the SB we'll have over 2 months to ponder the draft.

No one is saying those games do but anyone who handicaps NFL games doesn't do it by throwing darts or taking wild guesses. They look at the history between 2 teams especially the recent history as well as match ups to gage how a game might go. I'm certainly not just looking at the last 18 games between the 2 teams I've been much more thorough than that read my posts.

Man if the players were thinking as much about playing Green Bay in two weeks as many on this board, we'd be in big trouble. Detroit game is going to be a huge dogfight. You don't average giving up 69 yards rushing per game all year with smoke and mirrors. I don't look ahead like some do I focus on the task at hand. You have someone looking ahead to Green Bay when the Cowboys have Detroit on Sunday. It wouldn't surprise me if someone starts a thread in the next day or two asking "Assuming the Cowboys win the SB are any of you planning on attending the parade?" LOL

Just as easily can ask, who have we beaten since Seattle? Philly with a backup QB, Indy without best WR, etc.

Difference is, we're dominating. They're averaging 20 points a game. Mark Sanchez isn't just any back QB. He has the tools to be a starter. Eagles have flaws. 1 receiver makes Indi score 7 points? I don't buy it. Detroit hasn't faced any rushing teams the likes of Dallas or Seattle. Lacy put up 100+ on them and blew right by that front 4 right from the start. I'm confident Dallas wins barring a horrid injury.
