My best friend (who works for the Cowboys) went with the director of player personnel to Dez's house, where 4 family members were sitting there all day smoking weed (none have jobs) and they told Dez they were hungry, and Dez took them out to eat. He does that all the time. I get helping your family, but there's being taken advantage of.

If Prescott uses him right he just might! Its better for Bryant if he is not the only target. That hurt him for years..Prescott can and will spread the ball around...that could mean more TD's and yardage for Bryant.

So bc we drafted a WR in the 4th that's supposed to be shifty we now employ a dink and dunk offense and don't need our best WR? Ok.

Im not concerned with Bryants play level right now. Im concerned with his injury history and he is at an age where it could lead his play level to fall off a cliff.

I dont think he will be veiwed as a viable #1 at the end of his contract. WR is a spot the need to scout heavily in the next 2 drafts as I dont want them to be caught with there pants down if/when Dez falls off the cliff

I've always been a big Sturm guy, but this article really brings him a notch down in my eyes.

It's braindead analysis.

For example he tries to make the point that the Dez's fellow receivers all put up numbers similar or better than him playing with the guys at QB when he writes:

"By the way, if you would like some more rankings and stats, here are those same tables for 2015-16 as they pertain to the Cowboys themselves. If we are blaming the quarterback situation from 2015, or the rookie quarterback in 2016, that would apply to these players, too, right?" (providing he table below)

The problem is he doesn't point out EACH ONE of those other receivers played 10 more games than Dez (32 vs. 22 games). Those numbers would more than likely been dramatically different had Dez played the same amount of games, even with scrubs like Cassell, Weeden and Moore throwing him the ball.

That is simply an egregious oversight on his part whether purposeful or done ignorantly.

Since we're on the topic of not grasping something I've been meaning to comment on your signature for a little while now.

The quote from Fuzzy, which seems to indicate the irony he'd misspelled moron while calling out someone's smarts, is actually a slice of humor from Bugs Bunny. He'd call people maroons instead of morons. I get the idea Fuzzy was just being funny.

Then again you may have it there just as an example of irony in general in which case you should credit Bugs and not The Lumper.

I think you're giving fuzzy way too much credit.

They won all 3 games that he missed in 2016. The offense seemed to flow better in those games than when he returned.

X. Come on now. You are better than this. They beat two teams who drafted inside the top 9 and another who was severely slumping at the time.

They are not better without Dez.

Dez needs to step up. If he doesn't then you have to ask why. Keep in mind the ball will likely be delivered to multiple receivers. Hard to get to critical of that back throw to Dez in the EZ. Also, he does decoy. Still the bottom line is he needs to deliver.

It has been touched on already, but a few things are keeping Dez lower on the stats sheet.
One being the lost year with Romo.
Two being the next year with Dak learning as he went. They connected more at the end of the year, but I think the first 10 or so games were growing pains for this duo.
Three, and probably most importantly, is that the offense wants to/can run the ball compared to other teams. Not only is the receiving corps crowded, it's not the preferred avenue of offense.

That being said, I still don't think he has QUITE lived up to the contract. But by no means is this a bust or wrong move. Let's not forget that just having him on the field and knowing what he can do makes defenses pay attention to him.

If you're looking at his targets, look at his catch %. I would guess he's near the bottom of the list in that stat, as well.
